I am an avid Making the Cut viewer and when they had the season with Jonny Cota I knew I really wanted to try some of his pieces. I had been eyeing these pants for awhile and when they finally went on sale I purchased a pair. OH MY GOSH, they are amazing! I am constantly getting compliments on these pants and I have had friends and family purchase them after seeing them on me. I started off with a size 8 (bought both colors) and at that time I was 150 lbs. They were the perfect fit. I am now 144 lbs and I purchased size 6 in both colors and again they are perfect. For reference I am 5'2". The fabric is a linen type of material but a little on the thicker side which is fine because they are not see through. I have worn them all through summer so far with a t-back tank top. For a bit of a dressier look I'll style them with flatform sandals but for a casual day time look I'll style them with sneakers. These pants absolutely fabulous. Wash them on delicate cycle in cold water and let it air dry. I had no problems with ironing and they didn't lose shape at all. Buy them! Pants are super stylish and well made but def size down 2 sizes.(Size 3 down if you have a slim built.) I’m normally an 8, got a 6 and the waist is so loose. In the lighter linen pants, I got a size 4 and it sits well on me. Read more
I bought three pairs, two in natural size 2 & 4 one in black size 4. They were all toatlly different! Size 2 had been used washed and dried w/fabric softener, massively shrunken in all directions and so wrinkled, hardly any side panel wrap detail left, but fit like a 2. Very low rise and fabric differrent than the others. Basically HORRIBLE not wearable. Next: size 4 natural was new, super stiff and more like the pics here. Fit more like a 6. Next:Black size 4, NOT the same size as the the other size 4! More like a 6 or an 8! I could wear like a paper bag waist b/c there is so much material. So basically what the heck is going on with these pants? Not much quality controll from maker or amazon as I was sent a very clearly different and used item. So who knows what you'll get! Read more
The linen is a bit rough on the skin but the style is very edgy. After washing, (air dried) it lost a lot of its shape and was extremely wrinkled. Read more
Fabric great but too much density at hips. Not flattering and you can see straightaway it's not going to be an easy-care garment. They do run big at waist but smaller size gives wedgie. Read more
Love the cut and the fabric. These make stylish and comfortable breezy pants for summer! I'm in a weird position because these fit great...but they shouldn't have. I bought them in my pre-pregnancy size 6 (waist 27", hips 38"), though I'm currently post-partum and working my way back there from a size 10 or so. I also gain weight in my gut like an old man, so I fully expected these to fit terribly. But they sit well (maybe a little high because of said gut) but the waist size is about perfect. I'm going to order a size down (delivery is end of July?!) but hold on to these and see how the fit changes as I slim down. But overall I love them. Usually wide leg pants and high waists aren't so flattering on my figure, but these really work. Even my extremely judgmental (ha!) husband liked the look. If you're on the fence, definitely order them! But maybe size down. Read more
I bought size 8 but they’re more like a 12; I have to tie the sash as snug as it will go to have these fall just below my belly button. BUT the material is light and cool and the fit is nice: the contour of my hips and booty are traced nicely before the legs flow straight down. Flowy but not frumpy. Negative stars. The material is awful. Stiff, so i thought that would change after washing. I air dried (did not put in dryer). They shrank 2 sizes & still feel like cardboard. Garbage!!!! Read more
