JOREST Watch Press Tool Set Back Case Closer for Closing the Cover Watch Battery Replacement Watch Opener Remover

About this item

  • 【Applicable Watch Types】1. This set is only suitable for round dials with diameters between 22mm and 42mm, not for watches with other shapes such as square, oval, and not for watches exceeding the applicable size range; 2. Only suitable for watch back cases with a pry opening, not for cases with multiple grooves and cases with screws. 3.When selecting a mold for the glass surface, it is important to note that the mold should have a diameter larger than the outer side of the watch but not too large, to ensure that the glass surface of the watch does not touch the bottom of the mold and is suspended on the mold to avoid crushing the watch glass.
  • 【Higher Stability】During the process of closing the watch back case, the watch and the case must not shift, or the cover cannot be closed successfully and the watch may be damaged. Ordinary watch press tools cannot precisely control the speed and force of pressing down, and the resulting impact will easily cause the watch to shift. Our watch press tool uses a rotating handle to press down slowly, which effectively reduces the risk of the watch shifting.
  • 【Stronger downward pressure】Compared with ordinary angled watch press tools, our watch press tools use vertical downward pressure, so that the power arm and the lever are in a straight line, which can maximize the downward pressure; also, the vertical lever can minimize the resistance, which makes our tools more energy-saving.
  • 【Protective film】By using a transparent protective film, we can better fix the back case and watch together to avoid the case offsetting the watch; also, we can increase the friction to avoid the watch shifting, stabilize the watch, improve the efficiency of closing the back cover of the watch, and achieve accurate gland pressing. Watches with inlaid accessories or narrow edges should pay more attention to installing anti-slip film, and then press the watch cover after ensuring that the glass surface does not slip.
  • 【Warm Tips】1.When rotating and pressing with force, the lever should be adjusted to the center position to avoid breakage. 2.For ease of shipping, the watch press tool is shipped to you in parts and requires simple assembly for first use. 4.The instruction manual (in English) explains in detail to you the correct way to use the tool, to avoid damaging your watch due to incorrect operation, and to help you to solve the problem of your watch at home.
  • 【Warm Tips】1.Watches with a small difference between the inner and outer diameters of the glass surface need to be operated more strictly according to the instruction when pressing.2.The mould must be completely tightened before operation, otherwise it may be damaged.

Easy to Use and Works Fast

I replaced the battery in my husband's battery about 3 months ago and couldn't close the watch back until I found this tool. It is easy to use as long as you follow the instructions. Once i had all the parts setup, watch in position on the tool, I had the watch back on within seconds. I couldn't be more pleased! Awesome product...already saving me money. Read more

You want to buy this one (but use it carefully)

There are quite a number of watch cover presses on Amazon, but I think this is the best one (short of purchasing a professional model for hundreds of dollars). The press is precisely machined in aluminum with stainless steel screw components. It comes nicely packaged with good instructions for assembly and use. The case molds are nylon (more durable than plastic found in less expensive presses) and have brass threaded inserts for mounting on the press to insure correct alignment. The 8 molds provide 16 different diameters ranging from 24 to 50 mm which should work for almost all round watches. The only negative that I have noticed so far is that the compression screw has just a bit of wobble, so if you're not careful the top mold can tilt slightly. This may actually be intentional to allow you to make slight adjustments in the press alignment, but on first use it took a couple of tries before I had the top mold in full contact with the case back. Once you achieve that, the press works perfectly. Update #1: I'm reducing my rating to 4 starts. I went back and read all the 1 star reviews and I now believe that the aluminum top piece may have a design flaw that could cause it to break under very high force loads. The piece should be wider in the middle (like the base) to provide more aluminum on either side of the main screw shaft. One could also ague that if you're applying enough force to break the aluminum top (or the nylon mold) you might be damaging your watch as well, and this is borne out in many of the pictures in the 1 star reviews. When working with fine watches, it is not a good idea to apply the old engineering adage "if it doesn't go easily, get a bigger hammer". As far as the instances of crystal breakage, I believe this may be due to an incorrect choice of bottom mold diameter - you have to make sure that the mold only contacts the watch body, not any part of the crystal. I don't recommend wrapping the watch in plastic wrap as they suggest in the instructions, as this makes it harder to visually determine that the mold is aligned correctly on the watch body. Unless your watch is made from very soft metal, or has some type of surface decoration, the mold should not damage the watch body. And finally, I agree with the reviewers that found that this device is not suitable for very small and/or very large watches. Update #2: I used the press to replace a broken crystal in my Skagen watch today. A "matching" crystal on esslinger.com was listed at $25.50 plus shipping, but I found a 3-pack of identical 32.5 mm double-domed "generic" crystals on Amazon for $6.99. I figured with a 3-pack I could break one or two mastering the process and still come out way ahead. Much to my surprise, I was able to replace the crystal on the first try - without removing the movement from the case. I took my time, repositioning the watch several times to make sure the mold pressed down on the full circumference of the crystal (as others have mentioned, you need to "fiddle" with the upper mold alignment to get it just right). Crystals require less pressure than case backs, so this was an easy task for the press. I've attached a photo (note: case scratches are from long ago - no case marks resulted from using the press). Inexpensive, but Worked Perfectly

Needed to replace a rotating bezel on a dive watch. Couldn't get it to snap in place by hand, but this tool handled it in about 15 seconds. Assembles easily. Comes with everything you need except a way to store it afterwards, so you might want to do what I did and find a tool pouch so all the pieces stay together. Worked great though. Read more

Perfect tool

I have a Timex watch and changing batteries is easy but putting the back back on is not. This watch press tool worked like a champ and had the back in place in minutes. Perfect tool, works exactly as described. Read more

Good quality. Gets the job done.

Surprisingly well made for the price. Is it perfect? No. Is it worth every cent of the $13 I paid for it? Absolutely. The only minor problem was the adapters (or "molds" as the manufacturer calls them). While there are many, none seemed to fit my very common Timex watches very well. Not a deal breaker though. Quick, easy, compression fit only

Simple to assemble, lightweight and functional. It only took me a few minutes and I was ready to go. Note this work for compression time watch backs only - not ones that need to be screwed on, or have a complex set of indentations that fit a specific wrench. You’ll need another tool for that. The clamp presses the back cover onto the watch after removal. Read more
