My wife and I used this while snorkeling around Puerto Rico, and I recommend this to all my friends who also enjoy snorkeling, and now I’m recommending it to you. The two pack is what lured me into considering this one, because snorkeling is more fun with other people. Don’t be fooled by the low price, these swim buoys are great products while costing much less than other swim buoys on the market. They are super quick to inflate, and stayed fully inflated the entire swim. With these buoys, we were confident and snorkeled for hours each day of our trip. While we had no problem floating without the buoys (due to the buoyant nature of our snorkeling gear), knowing that we could just grab the handle on the buoys at anytime was a huge confidence booster. We also swam across channels to uninhabited islands. Boats and jet skis would frequently cross the routes we swam, and it was great knowing that we wouldn’t get run over by any watercraft while we were exploring because our buoys were so obvious. You can hug the buoy to lift your torso out of the water or just grab it by the plastic handle or simply grab the strap like the buoy is a balloon. I am a great swimmer. When my wife insisted I have some sort of floatation device for snorkeling I wanted to do on vacation, I didn't love the idea but ended up buying this device because it was less obtrusive than a diving belt and very easy to pack. Cut to me snorkeling in Maui, getting a little too close to some rocks, and needing to swim aggressively away. That's when my mask filled up with water and I had a little bit of panic moment as I was far out, out of breath, and couldn't see well. I remembered the device and grabbed for it. It instantly stabilized me (a bigger guy, but easily held my weight) and let me catch my breath and adjust my mask. I probably would have been ok with out it (as I know how to float and get things under control), but it was still a great comfort to have and sure made things easier. In short, it was worth every penny and I won't snorkel without it. In the event of an injury or a bad rip current, it could literally save my life. It is also highly visible to boats and my wife could easily see me from our hotel room, rather far from where I was swimming. It is practically weightless and takes up no space when packing. Great for the beach! I used these for my young kids who can swim but I was concerned about riptides in the ocean. These were perfect and allowed them to swim freely but floated behind them in case they were needed. They inflate and deflate in seconds. The texture is nice and easy for holding onto. Myself and my husband also used them to just float on. They definitely gave me peace of mind and you could easily see where the kids were when they were underwater by the bubble floating behind them. We’ve been snorkeling a lot of times and this time I decided to buy these to take with on our family trip because we would be outside of coves in open water. My youngest I always have in a life jacket but the other kids like to dive. But I wanted them to have some type of preserver. These were great for all of us. I took all of them out with me even though one of my family members didn’t want them. I put the strap over my head and under my arm. One of them came up to me and asked for one because they were getting tired while snorkeling. So I was glad I had it to give. It was nice to be able to see where everyone was because as they get further away from you they become little dots and you can’t tell if it’s them or someone else. But with these you can. My son would deflate his so he could dive. And easily inflate when needed. Would recommend buying them! Also small to store in carry on luggage! Read more

This item is good for the purpose I use it. I like snorkling and it makes easy for others to see my location. If I want a little rest when swimming you can grabe it and take a little break. It is not meant to be use as a life saver. Read more

These were easy to inflate/deflate and provided good visibility while snorkeling to alert boats of our presence. Lightweight and did not cause drag or slow down snorkeling. Wore around waist. Helped spot each other in water too. Read more
