Bought it for my RTX 4080 founders edition. I don't think I needed it but I got it for sound of mind. Works simple enough. Switched to a 5090 founders edition so I don't need it anymore. I was going to say, "What can I say?" but realistically this is a great addition to my system. It's built extremely well. It's all metal and even has a magnet in the bottom to help it stick to steel cases like mine. It comes with a level which is nice for ensuring the GPU is levelled properly. However, the level has no flat side. It just rolls around which can make this tricky. I leveled mine *after* building everything so I had my large Noctua NH-D15 cooler in the way. Having a flat level would help a lot guys. The stand has a bit of rubber on the bottom and on the....shelf? Whatever the GPU actually sits on. This helps prevent scratches to your possibly $1k+ GPU and your case. I have a triple slot XFX RX 6700 XT GPU which isn't really heavy. After installing and levelling, I actually found my GPU was already fine and had nowhere to raise to. However, I left the stand in to hopefully prevent it from shaking around and sinking over time. I do not believe this would be a good option if *moving* the case though. I feel the magnet is good enough for table bumps and maybe moving the system on the desk a bit, but carrying and especially transporting the system, I would be afraid of it falling and damaging everything inside. It is quite heavy. That would be more user-error though. If you are looking for a stand for transport, maybe look into a proper PCI-E mounted option. Read more
