Well made juicer will last for years
This juicer is a well made set of polished stainless steel pans with a glass lid. It replaces an aluminum set I have used for about 25 years! Given the quality of this new one it should outlast me and might just be passed down to my daughter (maybe grandkids) lol. The silicone hose fits well and the clamp works great. The multiple layered flat bottom fits perfectly on my glass cooktop and heats up quickly. The ability to check on the fruit through the glass lid is great! No more peeking and letting steam escape. A hint I learned from my mother: when filling the bottom with water add a coin; she used a penny, I use a nickel or dime. It will start "bouncing" when the water comes to a boil. If you don't hear it any more then water needs to be added. Also, this is a great way to combine flavors. I added wild cherries (a lot of pit and little fruit flesh) to blackberries and had a few strawberries left. Juiced all together and it made some of the best jelly ever! I mostly juice without adding sugar and then measure juice as normal for jelly or syrup. In my opinion the best way to juice elderberries, too: no pulling them all off the stems, just wash and add to basket and done! A bit of a learning curve but so worth it! Read more
