After fully charging the unit (4 solid bars) I topped off my Jeep’s 4 tires to a pressure of 38psi. The car’s display panel indicated 39psi. That’s pretty dang good. The Jump-Starter’s battery level indicator dropped to 3 bars. I next charged my phone from 60 to 90%. The Jump-Starter’s battery level indicator dropped to 2 bars. To simulate a dead battery I disconnected the positive terminal (red) of my F150 truck battery and then connected the Jump-Starter’s clamps and started the 5.4L 8cyl engine. Starting an engine with only 50% Jump-Starter capacity is not recommended but it still worked fine and without any truck battery assist (outside temperature was 35 degrees F). The storage case is just OK and the instructions could use improvement. The air hose connection to the Jump-Starter has a tendency to unscrew when handling so this could use some improvement as well. There are less expensive Jump-Starters available but this one had the best reviews at time of purchase, the price was reasonable, and considering everything I’m properly impressed. Read more
This device is super compact and has a case to keep all the parts together and it's so intuitive I didn't even need instructions. The compressor works fast, the jump starter works as well as a much bigger device I own and the added light is surprisingly good, and the overall design of the interface is nice and easy to work. It is good, but it has some observations. * The cable for inflating the tires is very short * After calibrating 3 of my car tires, the battery is 50% marked by the battery. * In my opinion, the material feels very delicate or fragile. Read more
I used to have a device like this a few years ago but I loaned it to a friend and never got it back. They are so handy to have around that I decided I needed a replacement. I have a few good inflators, so that isn't what I needed this for, but it does a REALLY nice job of being a tire inflator. The big readout on the unit is great, and seems accurate. It is best for small jobs, topping off a low tire, not inflating an empty tire. The jump starter is the main reason I got it and the fact that this is small and portable makes it valuable. It doesn't provide as much amperage as a larger jump pack - it does best when a battery is too low but not entirely dead. The cables from the jumper to your battery are short and so you need to be creative sometimes in getting everything attached where the starter box can still sit in a secure location. I found that my older unit would hold a charge for months at a time, and I am hopeful this one will do just as well. It is chunky enough that I feel confident in its capacity. Get it charged up and then put it in its zippered case and put that in your trunk or some out of the way space so you will have it when you need it, or when someone around you needs it. Just remember to take it out and give it a charge every 6 months or so. Read more
This jump starter is seriously impressive. I tested it on my truck tire first, and the built in air compressor worked great. fast inflation and easy to use. I have several of these and this one seems to be the best of the bunch as far as design and function. The digital display is large and easy to read, and the buttons to control functions are well marked and intuitive. I have a John Deere 950 diesel tractor that does not even have a battery on it, and this unit cranked it multiple times and still had battery remaining. I expect it will crank any automobile or truck, including diesels with the 5000A rating. Everything fits neatly and compactly into the zippered hard case that can be stored easily in a vehicle. I tested the air compressor by attaching to an already inflated time and it had no trouble inflating it from 35 to 38 psi in a couple of minutes. We use a lot of jump boxes and can never find them when we need one. Charged it up and it seemed to jump several cars no issues. Didn't fully depleat it before we ran out of cars with dead batteries this time, but it made it through the day. Will keep using it. Light enough to carry around lasted all day, easy to use and well made. Read more
