After charging it to 100 percent, I proceeded to jump-start my 3.5L 6-cylinder truck with a dead battery. I connected the charger and it started right away. It has a good finish and design. I haven't recharged it in over two months and it still holds a charge. I recommend it for its value. Read more

As luck would have it this jump start unit showed up at my door as I was outside trying to start my Yamaha Rhino UTV in ZERO degree weather. I had left it outside for several nights, which I generally don't do, but I had a project going in the garage and needed the room. Just as the Amazon the guy was coming up my driveway I was at the point at which I heard the dreaded 'click-click-click' saying, "Dude, yer batteries dead! I opened that Amazon box, pulled out that little jump starter, clipped it on the battery and my Rhino fired right up! By the way, the little onboard battery meter said that the jumper unit had only 15% juice in it because I had yet to charge it, but that didn't seem to slow it down any. This is a nice little unit and a good value at this price. I already own 3 similar jump start units as I believe that nobody should be without one in their car. It's just crazy to go out without some way to effortlessly jump your car if need be, especially when these are now so economical. Do you really want your wife or your 16 year old daughter to ask some knucklehead in a parking lot for a jump? I have used this unit several times since receiving it and all on just one charge. I finally charged it for the first time but the meter still had not hardly changed after several uses. It also has that feature that will allow it to jump start a fully dead battery, which not all of these unit have. This is great for when you have to start a piece of equipment in the spring after it' been sitting all winter, like your riding mower, and the battery is completely shot. Also, the terminal clamps that come with this a great! They are very strong and nicely engineered. Believe me, this make a big difference. It also has a built in flashlight incase you get stuck having to do this in the dark. Been there done that. I can't find anything about this unit that bothers me. Some people might want the cables to be longer but after using these things for so many years I can assure you that this is not necessary. You just clip the clamps on the battery terminals, set the jump unit right on top of the battery and start your car within 30 seconds. There is nothing else to do. It even shuts off (30 seconds later) on its own... and it comes in a very nice zipper case with a pair of rubberized gloves. I highly recommend this jumper unit with its very sharp, brightly lighted LED screen & flashlight. Read more

I was amazed at the weight of this. Is there a real battery here? They are making this new equipment lighter, faster and more durable so I need to get my head out of the old lead/acid cloud. It charged up over a few hours and indicated the charge state fine. I tested this out on a John Deere lawn tractor that is completely and totally dead, kaput. It ran last fall late in the season but has sat too long. I turned on the gas and gave it a spin. Well okay ,it turned over a large twin cylinder motor very quickly but didn't start it since it needs a carb cleaning I suspect since it sparked to puff once. Darn ethanol is the bane of small engines, right? I don't have a vehicle that's dead so I can't try it on that but with the discharge from this I suspect I'll be surprised and it will spin my wife's Toyota and act an emergency jump pack. I'll check the charge every few months and it will sit under the passenger seat and hopefully never get used. Other jump packs don't store this small at all and are a bit of a pain to charge but not this. Everything is included that you might need to conduct a jump on the fly including gloves. Everything is adequate, not the best but look at the price! This is a good quality pack for on the road. Will it jump my V-8 truck? I'm not sure but they packed a lot of battery in that little durable housing so we'll see. I don't even have a jump pad in there, only cables so I'd be stuck if I didn't have even this. Read more

Is this solar battery jump box worth fifty bucks? You bet it is! I own three! It's the best value per amp out there. Make that RELIABLE, accurately stated amps! The jump box is durable, easy to read, and holds a charge. It actually sips power on jumps. I would estimate getting a few jumps out of a single charge (unless they're all in boost mode), although best practice is to fully charge before each use. I jumped a Crown Vic, an F350 (both v8s), and a Toyota Camry during our last polar vortex and still had 18% capacity. The unit also acts as a flashlight, impulse strobe, and slow beacon, all emitting white light. This comes in handy until you get your cables connected after dark! Do cars even need a jump during daylight? That's never been my experience if so! This can also be used as a power bank charger for your USB devices. The unit comes with a hard-shell zip case, short heavy jump cables, rubber gloves and a USB-C charger to charge the unit. The unit arrives at 34% capacity charge, discharged enough that you can go ahead and charge it to full capacity. This takes a few hours the first time. As for the compass, you'll get lost! Haha, I bet I have 20 of these little guys lying around. They come with every piece of outdoor gear these days. We call them "Tap Compasses" because they stick. In one of my photographs I put two units side-by-side so you could see what I mean. I tapped the one on the left relentlessly to no avail. I don't care, but if you do, no problem! There's a warranty card you scan right away, and customer service is great with this company! Quality control is great with Soulor. Every jump pack I buy from them (one in every vehicle) arrives at exactly the same charge rate with identical cables, regardless of the vendor. Sometimes the cases are different, but warranty scan and continued support info are on every box and unit along with inspection verification. This unit is quality that won't leave you stranded! It's easy to use and holds a charge well, and a big one at that! It's built like a tank, but as with all digital displays, I wouldn't take a sledgehammer to it or leave it in sub-zero temps too long. Also, because it's lithium, I keep it from the blazing sun as well. Discharging too hot is never a good thing. Read more
