Since I have Milwaukee tools and batteries already I decided to give this jump starter a try. It connects easily to the 18v battery and the battery clamps grasp the terminals without any issue. I will concur with other reviewers that this is not a substitute for a dedicated jump starter but rather a useful tool to have in certain cases. I tried this on a commercial grade wood chipper that I own that has a 4 cylinder Kubota engine. It had been sitting unused for several months and the battery was not dead but was definitely on the weak side. I would say this device gave an additional boost to the battery and I was able to fire it up. When I first connected my Milwaukee battery to this adapter I actually thought it wasn’t working because I put a multimeter on the clamps and it didn’t show any voltage. I decided to try it on the chipper anyway and when I connected it to the battery terminals the red light on the jump starter changed from red to green after a few seconds indicating it was ready to try and start. I’m assuming there is some kind of circuitry in the device that “turns it on” after connecting to a battery. I’m not positive that’s how it’s designed but that’s the way it worked in my test run. With that being said, if you have a totally dead battery this device might not activate. I don’t think this is capable of starting a large engine with a totally dead battery anyway so maybe that’s a non issue. This is a handy device to have in addition to my battery chargers and jump starters that I already have but would consider this to be an “add on” device rather than a stand alone. Read more

Picked this up through the Vine program and gave it a try with a Milwaukee 18V battery. First off, let’s be clear, this isn’t some miracle jump starter that’s going to bring a completely dead truck battery back to life. It doesn’t have internal capacitors or any kind of built-in power reserve. It’s basically a pass-through device that uses the juice from your tool battery to give a little extra push. That said, I actually appreciate the honesty in the product description. Unlike other jump packs that claim they’ll start an 8-liter engine from the grave, this one just says it’ll help give a boost, and that’s exactly what it does. I tested it on a riding mower that had a weak battery, and it gave enough extra power to get it going. I wouldn’t count on it for a full-size car with a completely dead battery, but for small engines or borderline situations, it’s a handy tool to have around. Build quality seems decent, and it’s super easy to use. Just plug in your battery and connect the clamps. No buttons or wait time, just plug and play. Overall, It’s not magic, but the description is honest, and that’s rare enough to be worth mentioning. At the current listing price of 30$ i would say its a decent value, it functions as intended. If you go into it with realistic expectations, its worth picking up. Read more
