First test: I used this jumper cable with a 6.0ah M18 battery to jump start a 1997 Jeep with the 4.0L gas engine. Worked great - the Jeep started right up! Second test: I used this jumper cable with the same 6.0ah M18 battery to jump start a Cummins 4BTA 3.9L diesel engine. As soon as the starter engaged and it attempted to start, magic smoke came out of the Milwaukee battery and the cables got very hot. Now the battery is trash, the cables are suspect, and the Cummins still isn't started. I don't know that I would recommend this for anything other than an emergency last-resort item because it's likely going to trash your battery, as it has no on-board battery management circuitry like a normal Milwaukee tool does.
