Solid Starter Squat Rack — Gets the Job Done, With a Few Caveats

Happydays_5678January 28, 2026

This is a respectable squat rack and pull-up bar for home workouts, but it definitely comes with some “handle with care” moments. First rule: rack the bar gently. While it hasn’t let me down over the past few weeks and holds the bar just fine, there is noticeable left-to-right movement that keeps it from feeling truly rock-solid. The rack also runs a bit narrow, so you’ll want to stay mindful of hand placement when re-racking to avoid pinched fingers. The steel is thinner than I expected, and the thickness isn’t consistent from top to bottom. Instead of a solid, uniform build, the frame relies on thinner, multi-layered steel tubing—clearly a cost-cutting choice. This does make some of the marketing claims around material thickness feel a little optimistic. That said, despite these compromises, it still performs well enough to support solid workouts. Assembly is straightforward but time-consuming, so plan accordingly. Once built, the rack functions well overall, though improving the side-to-side stability would make a big difference in confidence during heavier lifts. The storage pegs are a nice bonus. They’re best suited for 1-inch plates, but my Olympic plates fit and work just fine too. All in all, this rack is usable and functional, but I can’t help wishing it were more stable—and about four inches wider. With those improvements, it would go from “good enough” to genuinely impressive. Read more

Fantastic

MiaDecember 12, 2025

This squat rack is a heavy duty, foundational piece for my home gym. The 600 pound weight capacity gives me complete confidence when lifting. The pull up bar is integrated and sturdy. Adjusting the safety bars and J hooks is simple and secure. It feels incredibly solid and stable during squats, bench presses, and pull ups. Assembly required some time but all parts fit together well. For anyone serious about strength training at home, this rack offers professional functionality and safety at a great value. I highly recommend it. Read more

Bail bolts too short. Otherwise good.

chris d.March 14, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Good. But bail bolts are way to short. I knew it'd happen eventually. the bails fell off the tube and I was stuck with 125 pounds on my back with no where to put it... I'll go the hardware store an get better ones but for the price I think they can afford to make Longer ones. Read more

Solid Value with Caveats—Great for Beginners, But Not Built Like a Tank

Michael TewSeptember 20, 2025

I’ve used this squat rack for several weeks now, and while it delivers on core functionality, there are some trade-offs worth noting—especially if you're expecting commercial-grade durability. Assembly & Setup: Setup was straightforward, but not flawless. The instructions reference bolt types that don’t match the actual hardware, which adds unnecessary confusion. Fortunately, the included tools are usable in a pinch, though I recommend having your own ratcheting wrenches to speed things up. Build Quality: The rack is marketed as “heavy-duty,” but the steel tubing is thinner than expected and inconsistent in thickness. It holds up under moderate use, but there’s noticeable lateral sway during racking and pull-ups. If you’re pushing serious weight or training aggressively, this might feel underbuilt. The powder coating is decent, and the welds seem clean, but the overall structure feels more “budget home gym” than “pro-grade.” Functionality & Features: The adjustable J-hooks are a plus—easy to reposition without tools. The integrated plate storage is convenient, though better suited for 1-inch weights than Olympic plates. The compact footprint is great for tight spaces, and the rack does support a variety of exercises. Just be mindful of hand placement when racking; the narrow frame can lead to pinched fingers if you're not careful. Final Verdict: This rack is a solid entry-level option for casual lifters or anyone building a minimalist home gym. It’s functional, space-saving, and reasonably priced. But if you're chasing long-term durability or high-intensity training, you may want to invest in something sturdier. Jusgym nails the basics—but leaves room for improvement in stability and material quality. Read more

Good deal overall

CustomerSeptember 29, 2025

This is a surprisingly tough rack for the price. It works as I expected and has enough features to make it versatile. I wanted something large enough for me, I'm 6'2' and 260lbs. So, I don't mess around with anything that doesn't seem safe to me. This is the right size for me to use for squats, pull-ups, and when I put my bench under it I can do presses with it too. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Just put it all together before tightening everything down and it will go smooth, just don't forget to check every nut and bolt after assembly, this is your life and body on the line so put it together safely and then use it safely. Bit wobbly but it works, much thinner walls than expected

HimsaAugust 27, 2025

This is a decent at home squat rack and pull up bar. RACK GENTLY! This doesnt feel the most sturdy left to right but its been holding my bar just fine for the last couple of weeks. I find that its a bit narrow and need to watch my hands to make sure im not pinching them when racking the bar. The material thickness is much thinner than was expected and that thickness is not consistent from top to bottom. The structure uses thinner multi-layered steel tubes instead of a solid construction. Clearly, a cost-saving measure that pushes some of the marketing claims into question. Specifically, when it comes to material thickness. that said, it still works well enough and you can get a good workout. Easy to assemble but does take some time. Excellent functionality but left-to-right sway could be improved. Great storage pegs. Better for 1inch weights but work for my Olympic plates too. I wish this was more stable and like 4 inches wider.
