I have a brick sidewalk along my shed and this is the path my dog and I walk several times a day. It had about 2" of ice buildup this winter and was very slippery. The first application of ice melter cleared the spot in under 2 hours! The small pellets are easy to dispense and I was impressed with the speed of melting. The bucket is very sturdy and easy to carry. This was a great price for a 15 pound bucket. I highly recommend it if you have pets or an asphalt driveway to consider. I love how fast this works and it works on black ice that you can't even see it melts the snow and ice quickly and it's really easy to use I would suggest getting a small hand spreader for when you're doing your deck porch and driveway and it lasts a long time. Great price Read more

Bought this in a rush, due to next day availability, and ice I couldn't get rid of. It worked absolutely great on driveway icy areas and continued to keep approach to the porch/garage clear through light snow the next day. Temps ranged from about 10 degrees to mid-twenties. I was pleasantly surprised. The downsides: I used 1/3 of the container for that small area and the pellets are white. I may have used more than I should have, which may account for it working so well, but my vision wasn't the best due to fogged up glasses. (That's another review altogether.) Dyeing this a color would be excellent. I haven't purchased any melt product in years and I had been buying pet safe melts. Now I'm trying to keep concrete clear without damage. Ingredients aren't listed for this brand, but supposedly no chlorides. Cost is high, but again, I haven't bought ice melt in awhile. I'd be willing to risk magnesium chloride, as that is supposed to be the least harsh on concrete. Read more
