Item is basically what I expected it seems to work well with one exception the disc select function of the remote does not work. This was one of the reasons I purchased this unit so I wouldn't have to get up and go to the player and manually push the buttons on the unit to select which disc I want to play. It is a useless paperweight. It was supposed to include the remote control but it came with a generic six-in-one remote. That might work if I knew how to operate the remote but for setting up the system it is useless. I have tried all the codes available and. That did not prove to be true, either. I tried to find a remote for the unit but it is so old that the specialist web sight did not know where or how to find a remote. So I got taken. If the ad says "remote included" shouldn't it be the remote intended for the unit?! Read more

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that this unit had major problems. But after recieving the unit and installing it correctly, which as I found it is important not to hook it up thru the VCR as the picture will flash dark to light. after calling tech support they explained that with closed captioning going thru would VCR affect the picture. Since hooking up the unit with the S cable going around the VCR and using my reciever for suround sound, I could not be more pleased, it has a great picture, great sound, and some cool features to many to list,and being able to keep 7 of my favorite movies ready to go is awesome. great unit thanks.
