I have but coarse hair with thinning ends that requires higher heat to respond to hot tools. This curling iron gets to the higher heat to ensure that my hair will hold the curl without falling throughout the day. I always test any hot tools on a cosmetology mannequin with human hair that is comparable in texture first before trying it out on my actual hair. The curling iron temperature is easy to set (just toggle the button until the light reaches your preferred temp level). Each time you press the button it makes an audible beep which does come in handy in case you accidently press the button while curling. This ensures that you know if you accidently just changed the temp level, but I personally would have preferred that the temp locks after it's reached the temperature initially set. The button is pretty far down on the handle and you have to press the button down fully which makes accidently changing the temp a rare occurrence. Between the button placement and audible beeping when the button is pushed to make you aware that you have changed the temperature is the only reason I didn't deduct a star for the lack of a temp lock on this curling iron. This does heat up fast and maintains the temperature set. Since I have thinner ends (curly hair problems), finding a curling iron with adequate clamping pressure to ensure my ends don't slide right out is normally a struggle. This curling iron allowed the thicker sections to glide through the clamp but still had enough pressure to ensure my ends didn't slip out. The cord swivels as I rotate the curler so you don't have to worry about it twisting while you're using it. The handle and plastic tip at the end of the curler stays cool to the touch while using. I've provided pictures of the curls that set with this curling iron. I'm able to either break these up for a loose curl or brush them out for more of a wavy hair look. Read more

Let me start up by saying I got this because of the affordable price and the size of the barrel. I got this to curl a bunch of little girls hair for a performance and it did not disappoint. they all had beautiful Shirley Temple type curls. it was so easy to use with heat control at the touch of your finger with wiggly little girls. I have since used it on my own hair I wish my hair was longer but it did give my short medium hair curls also that I kind of brushed out just for a wavy look so it worked wonderfully I'm really glad I got this Read more

I like this curling iron. It heats up fast, the handle is comfortable to hold and it gives a nice curl. I like that you can select the temperature and that it's not easy to miss-hit it while styling and either turn it off or change the temperature which happens on several of my other styling tools. I have thin hair and the barrel holds my hair well. Read more

It does curl but doesn't glide through my hair easily. The power button is not in a good location as I would push it while rotating it. Read more

K&K MCH Professional Curling Iron heats up really fast just like it claims to do! 30 seconds which is wonderful for usually waiting on my old curling iron to get hot enough which slows my morning routine if I didn't plug my old one in ahead time. Those days are long gone - 30 seconds and ready to curl! Easy to use and read temperature settings. Appreciate the tip to hold on to without getting hot if curl starts to slip helps tighten hair back on the rod. Includes a heat resistant glove as added bonus. 1.25 inch barrel and 6.2 inches long. Recommend! Read more

The curling iron works well and does a good job on my hair. The handle is made from what feels like cheap plastic, which is unfortunate as it lowers the overall sense of quality. Otherwise, no complaints. It makes nice curls and waves in my hair. Read more

Well, I’ve only had this curler a few days of been very impressed by the results. It’s as good as any of the other expensive ones. I’ve used in the past. It has a number of settings allowing you to have precise control over the heat. You can tell that the product is very well-made And I look forward to using it in the future Read more

The media could not be loaded. To start off, I'm not a total pro at curling my hair, but I've done it enough to know how a curling iron should work. This one definitely curled my hair sufficiently, but it didn't hold my hair very firmly. It tended to slip out, and then I would have to start over with that piece. It was kind of annoying. The directions that came with the curling iron also mentioned a fan, but there's no fan with the model I recieved. It's not a big deal to me, but FYI. A heat glove did come with it, though! The curling iron has 5 temperature settings that you switched between via the power button. I kept pushing the button while curling, though, and kept changing the temperature. 🙄 Anyway. It's a decent curling iron, but it has its quirks... or maybe it's just me. 🤷🏻♀️ Read more
