I have medium length fine hair. I absolutely love this. I used it after blow drying my hair. It heats up super fast and is very easy to use. I’m not great at curling my hair since it’s fine & usually doesn’t hold a curl for long but it was able to add some volume. Especially to my bangs (curled opposite to give more of a lift) . You can totally do the curtain bang. My daughter who has thicker hair did a perfect curtain bang on herself. It for sure feels like I went to the salon for a blow out. I added cute little flips to frame my face and was able to cover the split/ part in the back of my head. And smoothed out the back of my hair, I’m terrible at blowing that out. I did see a video of someone with fine hair using this heated brush and then adding Velcro curls & let cool for more lift. Im going to try that. I own the amazon brand of the revlon hair drying brush which I do like because it has a low setting & doesn’t whip my hair around. But this is WAY better. I bought the 1.5 barrel, considering the 1.77 because it’s more like the brush I’m used to using. I think it’s worth buying , especially for my fine hair friends. Also- no static issues yet. I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do! It’s super easy to use—way easier than juggling a brush and curling iron. It gives me soft waves and nice volume, not tight curls, which is exactly what I wanted for everyday styling. It heats up fast, doesn’t tangle my hair, and feels pretty gentle.
