I think it would be great on the beach as a swimsuit cover-up but I mostly use mine as pajamas. I am a size 16 and I have plenty of room in it, but it is not so big as to be sloppy. I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 because the print and fabric aren’t exactly what is depicted. It appears to be a faded-looking, soft cotton-y blend in the advertised pictures. However, it is 100% rayon and feels very much like a tent fabric, which might improve with wash and wear. The print itself isn’t exactly what was pictured either. It’s similar, but looks “cheaper.” That said, the length is perfect. It’s light-weight and breathable. I would say the size is good for anyone medium-XL. If you are a small, it might work, but the neck opening is very large, so keep that in mind. Any bigger than XL, I’d look at the plus-size kaftans. This is perfect for a house dress, beachwear, or maybe just running out to the store. I don’t think it’s nice enough for work or church, per se. All of that said, for the price, this is a good option if you’re looking for something relaxed, comfortable, and flowy. I’m 5’6” and 150 pounds. I normally wear a medium and this fits great. I didn't think this was going to be the highest quality, but these seems are criminal. The outside of the kaftan is sewn from the thigh up, again on the outside of the dress. The seem is 2 inches thick. That's at least 3-3.5" of room that is missing from the size specifications given. What was wrong with sewing up the inside and turning it inside out? Why not just 1 inch seem? Do you know how ridiculous this seem is? It 2 inches of material split open. This is a 5th grader's sewing project. Lighter than expected and a bit see-through. The size will fit a plus-sized woman but may be tight for anyone taking a 4x or larger. No shrinking when washed and it's so easy to simply slip on and go, with undergarments on or a bathing suit. Coverup or dress, you choice. Read more
