I got this for my husband and he really likes it. The quality of it is great, its sturdy and the material itself is nice. It was a perfect fit for his phone. The magnet is strong and even moving the phone around as well as flipping it so the phone is face down it won't come off the magnet. The installation was pretty easy. Its a little tricky to adjust but its great once you get it where you want it. The design is nice and the functionality is great. Overall its a good product for its price. Only bad thing is I dropped it on my foot during installation and because its metal it hurt so bad. Read more

This mount is the answer to my prayers! There are others on the market of this same design and all metal construction for more than twice the price. It’s stupid simple to install in minutes and comes with everything you need, including the allen wrench. Once installed and tightened, it will not budge, nor will it damage your dash. It comes with a pre-cut and installed rubber pad that’s non-marking and makes it so the installed mount will not slip or scratch anything, and there’s a spare pad if you need it at some point. It fits my 2014 Gen 2 Tacoma like it was designed for it (because it was!) The arm is the perfect length to get your phone away from the vent but short enough that it won’t interfere with your steering wheel. It’s all very easily adjustable to get your phone right where you want it. The magnet mount is impressively strong and will hold your phone regardless of the terrain you’re driving on - I’m betting you could catch air, bounce your truck, and the phone won’t drop. The air vent still functions normally even with this installed, and it does truly work just as well on either the passenger or the driver’s side. The entire system is very well designed. Unfortunately, I use a case I love from Rokform with an attachment I don’t like removing that won’t allow me to use the included magnetic mount, so I have to improvise some to use one that works with my case - this is no fault of the manufacturer and something I was aware of prior to purchase. This unit uses a 17mm ball and the one I need to use is a 20mm, so I had to use another arm and modify the ball on the mount - I used heat shrink - so that’s what you see in my picture. The heat shrink isn’t visible with everything attached, and I’ve been driving around with this for a bit now, so the deformation you see is only the heat shrink conforming to the arm’s clamp. Very sturdy! The magnetic force is strong, and it clips onto the air vent very securely. Taking the phone on and off is also very convenient. The custom design fits perfectly and there are no strange noises. The 360-degree ball joint adjustment is very convenient, allowing you to easily find the best viewing angle for navigation. I was impressed that this phone holder is solidly built of metal. It was easy to install and did not put pressure on the vent fins but grabs a little deeper. It was obviously a custom fit and worked perfectly for my 15 Tacoma Base. Once it was tightened down it seemed very solid. I was hoping that I could use the non-charging model I got with a 1Zero charging model I have that fits in the CD slot. The ball-joints on the two are the same size so I was able to incorporate it somewhat. I can't use it with the middle metal extension piece but I was able to leave that piece out and connect the 1Zero magnetic charger directly to the ball mount that fastens to the vent. I would guess that the Kaishengyuan charging model is well made and with the extra expense. I can't imagine that there is an easier, non-permanent, easy to view way to hold a phone securely on the dash of my truck. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Read more

This metal holder is sturdy and won't move once locked in place. Even with my phone in a thick case, the magnet is strong enough to hold it firmly. Plus, it looks clean and neat on the dashboard, unlike some generic holders that look out of place. Installation only takes a few minutes. After using it a few times, my phone has never slipped or fallen, even when turning or driving on uneven surfaces. I love this holder because it keeps my phone in a convenient position for navigation and hands-free calling. Even after removing and reinstalling the phone multiple times, the magnet remains strong.
