I gave this thumb piano as a gift, and my relative immediately started learning how to play it. The sounds are pleasant and interesting. The piano comes with sample songs and instructions. There is a larger version of this same item, so customers may want that. I didn't notice it, so I purchased the smaller and less expensive one. Still, what a neat gift idea for a musical person! My fifteen year old got this for Christmas and read the instructions and tips and has already showed me he can play a few songs on it. I love that it comes with finger covers to protect your fingers from getting warm while strumming. I also love the fact that this is small and portable and he is entertained by it and learning a new skill that's doesn't have anything to do with a screen. The instructions were clear for him and he commented that they told him to read the notes a certain way and that it was challenging for him but the song he played sounded rich and clean. It would be a worthwhile item to have on an end table for children or guests to pick up and pluck away at it. It's durable and seems well built and steady when you strum the bars. Read more

Very nice quality and sound. I got this for my 9 year old granddaughter and she really liked it. At our family Christmas get together where she received it quite a few people picked it up and started fiddling with it and were soon playing little ditties. Plucking with the thumbs sounded best. This has a great sound, and it is so much fun. even though I’m giving it to my granddaughter, who plays the piano, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Beautiful sound quality! Mine are perfectly in tune. Sounds so cute and pleasant even when just fooling around with it. Makes a really pretty and unique coffee table peice that guests can pick up and play. We have the one with more 'keys' (in blue) and the smaller wooden brown one. My kids, 8 and 10 love them. (Just make sure your kids don't bend the metal keys up or it messes up the instrument.) They are beautiful to look at, fun to play and sound great! My inner hippie wants to take one wherever I go.
