I’m in love with this shirt! I was excited to see a designer shirt up for grabs to review and honestly the quality definitely is there! This looks and feels so much nicer than some of my cheaper dress shirts. The material on the main part of the shirt is very sheer. With the black I didn’t notice it being see through, but I also was wearing it in fairly low light. I’m not sure if it would show anything under a brighter light. However with the material being thin it’s really breathable and comfortable to wear even while somewhat active! I wore it while doing some errands and I never broke a sweat. The fit seems to be correct. I ordered this in a small which is admittedly not my normal size. I usually got for a medium, but I wanted this to be fairly form fitting so I sized down. Width wise it’s a beautiful fit! It’s snug, but not tight. However in my torso it is a bit short. When I raise my arms it rides up more than I’d like, so I’ll probably need to wear another layer underneath it just to be safe. I’m about 5’8 and 140 pounds for a sizing reference. The style of this as mentioned is SO cute! I love the collared neck, the mismatched bottoms, and the puffy sleeves! It’s a really classy look while still being a little playful. It’s perfect for a night out or a higher end concert. The buttons are well attached They are functional and when I used them they didn’t sag or twist around like cheaper buttons will do. Oh how I lucked out when I’m able to get another Lagerfeld item. This is my second piece and I quite like it. My chest and waist measurements are 34 and 32, respectfully. There wasn’t a size chart available, so I opted for a size M. The material is lightweight and breathable. The colors are a bit off than described. I chose the Birch/Black option, but in person the Birch is more of a cream color. The black sections are a different material than the rest. It’s thicker and feels nice against the skin. All the buttons are functional. Each one along the neckline has a unique design. Then those three are found again along both sleeve ends. One thing to note is that it is a bit see-through. In natural lighting you’d be able to see your bra. So make sure to keep the undergarments a neutral color. Also, the length of the garment is shorter than in the ad photos. On the model, the sleeves come down past her palm. On me, it ends over my wrists. So it doesn’t give off the same bell sleeve effect. Read more
This is a well-made ribbed knit top with a nice weight to it. The fabric feels substantial and holds its shape well, and the contrasting collar gives it a clean, structured look. Fit is true to size and comfortable for all-day wear. The main drawback for me is the button detailing. They are eye-catching, but the finish and weight feels a bit less refined than I expected from the brand. It slightly distracts from an otherwise classic design. That said, the top still looks polished overall and works well styled simply. A solid option if you like structured knits with bold hardware accents. Read more
Although impressed by the design of this shirt, I'm not fully convinced of the quality. This shirt is moderately well made, but it is made in Asia. A lot of mid-level designers now outsource to Asian countries to keep costs down. In my opinion, this does greatly impact the quality (stitching, asymmetry, poor quality materials, etc). I think the black and white color combination is gorgeous, and this shirt has a lot of potential. The one thing to be mindful of is the lint factor. This shirt is a massive lint magnet. This defeats the purpose of keeping a clean streamlined appearance, which this shirt would otherwise have. I mostly love this top, however, the birch is very see through. I probably should have ordered the black, but I already have too much black in my wardrobe! I had to layer it with a black tank since I didn't have time to find the right undergarments. The shape looked better when it wasn't layered but it was far too sheer for work. It is a very lightweight sweater, but does not feel cheap at all, and the materials are very high quality. I really love the retro mismatched gold buttons and the flared sleeves. It fit true to size, and it was nice to see size XS offered. I am 5'5" and 110 lbs and I ordered the XS. Read more
I loved the vintage vibe this shirts gives off and how stylish it is! The sleeves are one on my favorite characteristics of this beautiful shirt along with the gold button details throughout. This thin shirt is perfect to layer with a thin black cami underneath and can pair perfectly with a black pencil skirt or black dress pants. This shirt fit great and hugged my curves in all the right places. I love the colors that are easy to pair with so many outfit styles.
