I was afraid these boots would be too small. I wear a 5-1/2 to 6 shoe and usually wear a 6 boot but sometimes buy a 6-1/2. These seem to fit true to size or run a tiny bit large in my opinion. There is enough room for me to wear thick socks. Being made of a synthetic material, they looked very stiff and I was afraid they would be uncomfortable to walk in or wear for a full day, but I did some bends and a little walking and they loosened up nicely. Yay. My concern is that the bottom 3 rows of laces is not adjustable. They seem to be permanently sewn in. The upper rows are adjustable. I find the bottom 3 leave the boot fitting a tad large to the point that it may show my skin or sock between the tongue and the side of the boot if the tongue slips to the side. That is my only complaint. I think I will have fun wearing these with my skirts and my cropped pants. For the price, I kind of think they could have created these in leather. Read more

I was really excited to get these boots. They're exactly my style and I loved the KARL detailing. But I think I'm pretty disappointed by them. I am normally a size 7 to 7.5 but I got an 8 in these because I like to be able to have a thicker sock with boots. The fit is a bit big on me, but it is as expected given the size I chose. And I definitely need the cushioning of socks because these are not comfortable around the ankles at all. I can feel every bone in my ankle and top of shin where it scrapes against these. The material has yet to really mold to me and they feel stiff and unmoving. I planned to wear them to a holiday party and decided against it last minute, one because of the fit and two I didnt think they'd hold up for the night. I will say I typically have ankle mobility issues where it's hard for me to shove one ankle down into an endless abyss of a boot, and the side zipper on these makes it really easy, no struggle pulling them on. So that is very nice. The weight is also nice but I do worry about the doo-dads eventually falling off. Read more
