These pants fit very well, although I understand why "Slim Fit" may not feel to be a true description for some women. I believe these pants will definitely not seem to be "Slim Fit" for women who are actually slim/lean. However, to be fair, the photo in the item description shows a more generously sized pant, you can see a bit of extra fabric gathered under the models hips. So if you have more of an average build they are a great fit, somewhat slim but not excessively so. For anyone who is slim/lean and wanting a truly slim fit, you may want to go down a size. Also, the length of these pants is much longer than I expected. For reference, I am 5'4" and the pants actually start to pool a little bit at my ankles, which is actually how I like it so when I sit down they are not way above my ankles. Also, I initially thought the elastic waist band at the back was very strange and looks very matronly..... definitely not what I would imagine as a young woman early in my career. However, the elastic waist band actually came in very handy, allowing me to just pull the pants up and over my hips instead of fighting with the side zipper and hook. For reference, I have an hour glass figure and simply cannot see over my bust, so I cannot see the hook and have to rely on feeling for it only. Additionally, my waist is much smaller than my hips, so the zipper is a bit of a pain to zip over my hips with just one hand (since the other hand is holding the top of the pants. So I decided to just take them off, close the zipper and hook and pull the pants up instead and they slipped right on comfortably. The waistband comes above my belly button which is nice. I would definitely not want the waistband to be seen though, because it doesn't look fashionable at all so I will only be wearing this with top that cover it. The color is good as is quality of the material. I am very happy with these pants........but, I must say, the $99 MSRP is extremely high. I personally would not pay more than $60 for them. Read more

I guess this is an excellent solution for the price, the regular folk version of Karl’s creation. Still, I like this specific fit on me, and like them for summer. SIZING: for reference, I usually wear 8 in pants, 5’9” tall (28-29 in jeans), waist 27”, height 5’9”. I ordered one size up, as I wanted to wear them in summer, and wanted a more relaxed fit. They are comfortable, straight leg rather than slim fit, plenty of space in the waist plus elastic, which despite being thick is well made and does not spoil the final look. All the seams and closures are perfect. I am also not sure about the crop style. I have very long legs (for long pants get 33” inseam), and these pants seam longer than crop and shorter than full length. They look best with stiletto mules. Recommend. Read more

If I were 5'10" and 110 pounds, I'd probably look like the picture, but I'm 5'4", and these are full length slacks on me. They are not SUPER slim fit, and I'm not sure what is going on with the elastic at the back.. When I think Lagerfeld I don't expect 1980s elastic waist pants (though at least the hideous elastic is only in the back? I was kind of expecting maybe some creative use of the elastic, not... what it is on the back. I'll be honest, I did not pay for these, and I would *not* pay $100 for them, I WILL wear them, and they ARE fairly comfortable, but... They are (I think) over priced for the cut and shape. The fabric IS nice, and I've gone back and forth between 3 or 4, but based on the price, and the fact that I'm disappointed in them, I'm going to go with the 3, simply due to what I expect from a name like Lagerfeld and a $100 price tag. In black, these pants seemed like a versatile choice for a woman's summer wardrobe. My clothing tester was looking for something that was stylish and appropriate for the office, yet a good choice for somewhat formal functions; and also a "go to" option for fun evening events or dining out. These Karl Lagerfeld pants seemed like a great solution for each of these objectives. The test results are in. Not only do these pants look great with almost any combination of tops (blouse or summer sweater) and shoes, they are easy to put on. And the dark black will go with any color (or the great majority of colors). The slim fit was a comfortable fit for my tester and her somewhat petite 5' 3" frame. The elastic back band provided just the right amount waist support. Overall she felt these "slacks" were mostly comfortable and without any binding points or other concerns. 5 stars for the stylish matching and 4 stars for the fit and fabric. Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this product because of the brand and look. Pros: These pants are are cute and stylish. There is a stretch band around the back so they fit nicely. The zipper is on the side versus the front giving it a seamless look in the front. They pair nicely with many different types of shirts/blouses/sweaters. Con: The only issue I have with these is that they are thin. I ordered a size 10 and am 155 pounds. They fit nicely but was a little loose around the waist which is good because I have a little more weight in this area. Read more
