I was genuinely nervous ordering a size 10 in this dress. I’m 5’4”, about 165 pounds, big-boned with thicker arms and wrists, and I usually worry about button-front dresses feeling tight through the shoulders, arms, or cuffs. I was pleasantly surprised — this dress fits beautifully. The fabric and cut allow full freedom of movement through the shoulders and arms with no binding at all. The sleeves are the perfect length, the cuffs are comfortable, and nothing feels restrictive. I’m a C cup and experienced no gaping at the buttons, which is rare for me in a shirt-style dress. The dress is lined, so no slip is needed, and the lining is soft and well-constructed. It doesn’t interfere with the drape or movement of the dress, which keeps the silhouette clean and flattering. I would have done better with a 6 or even a 4 perhaps. I'm just under 5' 4" and of medium build, and this is too big on me. I'm also not crazy about the 100% polyester fabric, as in my experience I sweat more in these fabrics and they develop an off smell. Also--hand wash? No way. It's a cute dress, and maybe I would feel better about it if it fit me, but I'm not very happy with this. Read more

I love textiles and fashion way more than I should! I do try to stay far away from fast fashion polyester clothing as I tend to prefer natural fabrics. I’m new to shopping for dresses on Amazon, I normally try them on in NM, BD or Saks. (Saks is now on Amazon as of a few months ago! Woohoo!) This beautiful, geometric retro high fashion LAGERFELD office attire dress is made of 100% Polyester, though on this “ad page” it states part Rayon. So I hated to do this because this is a well crafted, versatile and beautifully designed unique dress, but I took off one star for the mis-information. I would have preferred it to be part Rayon, and I ordered it because it said it was part Rayon. If they correct the fabric content I will change it to five stars. However, though it’s 100% polyester according to the tag so on the dress, it is still comfortable and feels cool to the touch. It has a faux silk like look and feel. I love the fabric colors. It’s a throwback partially to the 80s geometric red and black that was so trending for one to three years. Yet the dress design seems somewhat 1970-ish. There is a Coral (“orangish Salmonesque) “) color whimsically thrown in to update the look, as Coral is a popular high fashion color now for the past two years. Right now it’s burgundy (wine red) that’s is hot, but perhaps in the spring we will be seeing a brighter lipstick red shade in fashion. I love that there is Khaki included, as I can wear my nude khaki-ish kitten heels with it to tone it down. The print is runway BOLD and loud! Get ready for onlookers-you will not be a wallflower in this dress! I was a little hesitant to wear it because I shy away from large and bold prints . I am short and not skinny, so I feel that smaller prints such as “ditzy flowers” look better on me. I wore it to Guatemala City (Flight Attendant here) -specifically to dinner in Cuidad Cayala. Look that city up, it is beautiful and all the buildings are white-it is where the wealthiest Guatemalans reside. There is also a beautiful zip line! It was 80 degrees during the day, yet I did not sweat in this dress. This dress packs very well and just needs a light, quick steam out of the suitcase. The dress is excellent quality. It has a white soft polyester fabric lining sewed in nicely throughout the entire dress. I was glad there are no pockets-I don’t like that extra bulk on my hips. It has a belt that is not sewn in, so I could perhaps trade it for a black, stark white or a khaki leather belt to match my shoes. It is a button down small pointed collar shirt dress, the buttons run from top to bottom. The small buttons are shiny black with Lagerfeld written on them. A spare button is included, a classy thoughtful touch. I love the balloon style sleeves, the cuff has a button as well. It is straight, single stitched in white thread throughput. The dress is made in Indonesia-which I prefer over China made Fast Fashion clothing that too often is lacking quality. I also love the pretty pleats on the front shoulder! There are no darts nor princess seams on the dress. It is a flowy shirtdress. It is the addition of the bottom triangular flare pieces sewn in that elevates the drape so beautifully. I am 5’3 and 125-130lbs. Chest is average at 36B , waist is thick at 28”, hips at 38”. I typically wear size 6-8, however I probably could have worn a size 4 as the fabric is generous being it is an oversized shirtdress style. It is not stretchy but it has a slight “give” to the polyester weave. I love this elegant, comfortable sophisticated dress! I own a few Lagerfeld leather handbags and clothing pieces which I love. Much like other pieces from this brand, this dress delivers exceptional quality. The fabric is the standout feature again—silky, smooth, and very comfortable to wear for extended periods. It has that premium weight and drape that you expect from a designer label. The "Teaberry" color is vibrant and attractive in person. As with the other style, the sizing is precise, offering a fit that looks tailored and polished right out of the package. It manages to be stylish yet comfortable, which is a hard balance to strike.
