If you're interested in this item, it's important to know how a larger leather bag like this one appears when it's empty. In other words, it's very floppy and heavy. The photos in the listing show it filled with what can only be one big chunk of Styrofoam, for it appears structured, smooth, and easy to carry. That's not how it looks or feels when I use it. At 4 lbs., it's already heavy enough empty and the overall dimensions means it can be unwieldly if you aren't on the tall side. But leather being leather, you can expect some imperfections and weight, so I can't knock it too much. As far as quality goes, the leather feels nice, all hardware seems secure, and the large compartments with a silky lining means it checks all the boxes. Just pack lighter items in it, secure it on the handle of a wheeled luggage piece, and it all works out fine. Read more

this is shipped with no thoughts on packaging/presentation. so when you open the package from amazon, it looks very bad. But it's real leather, not pu-leather (albeit not full grain), fairly light (3.5-4lbs). The identical bag is rebranded and sold for $700 by certain other USA brand "Cy..." so $130 for this is a good deal Read more
Im really happy with the purchase, I have a few purses from this brand and this one is great quality as all the other 4 I have, I’ll be doing an update when I use it in my next trip. I’m really excited. Update went on a weekend trip and it was perfect, many compliments and I didn’t needed to separate everything with little bags 10/10 recommend!!! Read more
I will not argue that this bag is mostly made of full grain leather, and where it is not it is made of the top layer of the cowhide. It's gorgeous. Despite being called khaki, the color is very dark for a khaki. More like a coffee with milk kind of color, but still really nice. It's very well made. The zippers are mostly metal with the exception of one plastic zipper inside of the bag. The size is absolutely appropriate for a weekend getaway, or even a week long trip if you're okay with doing laundry. The interior lining is high quality satin in a rich brown. It's thick, and shouldn't tear just cause you shove some stilettos in the bag. The hardware is goldtone, and though it's sturdy there are some minor imperfections on a couple of the pieces. There are two different thicknesses of leather on the bag. Most of the bag is made of a gorgeous thick full grain cowhide leather and it's absolutely stunning. But the underside of the removeable strap and the bottom of the bag are made of a much thinner leather. The strap makes up for this with a piece of black artificial material that's been glued to the thin piece of leather, but it doesn't provide the same texture and softness as on the top side of the strap. It's clearly visible through the holes that are punched for the buckle. It looks like the top layer was split from the hide, allowing the lower layer to be sold as a thick suede while keeping the natural grain. The description hints at this a little bit depending of your generosity with commas. "Our [...] Bags are made from Full Grain Top Layer Cowhide Genuine Leather[...]. Full grain leather is what the majority of the bag is made of. Top layer cowhide, genuine leather could imply the top layer of split grain leather. Anyway, it's a great bag, even with the lower quality leather used on the bottom and the straps. It's roomy durable, *should* qualify as a carry on and you don't have to actually lug it through the airport if you've got a rolling suitcase. I'm taking it on a road trip next week, and will let you know if it falls apart - but I don't see that happening. It looks like it will last a lifetime. Update: 12/23/24 I've taken this bag on two trips so far. It performed beautifully on both trips, though I would not use it as my only luggage while flying again. It's not hard to carry for short stretches, but my gate got moved and I had to walk MILES through the Toronto Airport trying to find my gate. Every step carrying this bag was the worst, but the bag itself remains gorgeous and unscathed. Read more

Let's unpack it This Kattee leather travel bag (Pun intended!) First Impression: Not Quite as Light on its Feet as Michael Jackson. The picture online makes this bag look like a light brown fawn, perfect for a spring getaway. But in person, it's more like a rich, dark chocolate - delicious, but maybe not what you were expecting. Heavy: The genuine leather is buttery soft, like a dream. A dream about carrying a sleeping calf, this bag has some serious heft. Empty, it weighs in at a surprising three-four pounds. Let's just say your biceps will get a workout before you even reach the airport. The quality comes with a price. Tank Tough, yet soft: This bag is seriously high quality. The leather is tough despite being soft, and the shoulder strap clasps are as beautiful as they are functional. There are four zippered compartments, each one a seemingly bottomless pit for your stuff. There are even extra pockets for those travel essentials that mysteriously multiply. The only design decision I question is the zipper on the front - a little too busy for my taste. It takes a chip off that chic appeal. The inside is lined with a material softer than a kitten, and on a recent weekend trip (or was it a week?), I managed to shove in enough sweaters, pajamas, and beauty products to supply a small village. The bag was quite heavy, and the added shoulder strap truly came in handy. It’s very durable and because it’s soft it was easy to carry on my shoulder. The carrying handles stitched onto the bag, proved to be more than capable of carrying the load as well. . Hefty Bag, Hefty Value: This Kattee bag isn't for the faint of arm, or shoulder. However, if you're looking for a high-quality, high-capacity leather travel companion that can hold everything you throw (and I mean throw) at it, then this is the bag for you. Plus, the price isn't enough to make you cry, well maybe just a little (unlike your aching shoulders after a long trip). Just be prepared to explain why your "weekend" bag seems to be built for a month-long expedition. Read more
