I purchased this for my 1st grader - she loved all the items that came along with it and is the biggest reason she wanted this backpack. Let's talk about it from a parent's perspective: 1. Color and quality if material is great. We're only a little over a month into school but this backpack, unlike others in the past still looks brand new! Even the zipper is intact and easy to slide - no snags so far 2. Storage capacity - this is a sizable backpack. It has plenty of pockets for pencils/markers, folders snacks, iPad and books.
