These do the job

These hand braces are a little cumbersome, but my hands did feel better after wearing them through the night. These really work well and they’re pretty comfortable. Read more

Good Brace. Does a good job keeping your thumb immobile.

MarvelTheatreGirlDecember 27, 2020✓ Verified purchase

About 8 weeks ago I fell & hurt my hand and thumb. I went to my doctor and got $188 brace... I stopped wearing it because my thumb started feeling better... A few days before Christmas my thumb started really hurting again badly and I could not find that $188 brace to save my soul... So I went on Amazon and I found this brace. I ordered a large because I'm a plus size gal. The thumb splint fits well & the wrist fits well. It's a little tight on the mid-forearm (I had to pull hard on the velcro strap to get it to reach the scratchy part of the velcro) but it's not uncomfortable. I did have to trim the velcro straps for the thumb and the wrist because they were too long... But that was easy. And it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the one I got through my health insurance... I've noticed in some of the other reviews people complaining that their thumb doesn't move in this particular brace... That's literally the whole point of the thumb splint. It's to keep your thumb immobile... Which is what I needed. Read more

Nothing is indestructible, especially with constant wear.

I bought this brace for carpal tunnel syndrom in April 2020. It is the end of July 2020. So I've had it for nearly 4 months and have worn it nearly every day since receiving it so i think I can give a true review... I started wearing it right away. At first it was a bit uncomfortable, but the pain relief was nearly immediate. However, the metal supports weren't bent exactly to my size and caused serious sharp pain when I tightened up the straps. (the supports are more "one size fits all"). I fixed that issue by bending the supports with pliers... it took several times and a few days to get them just right. The inner seam at the inside thumb (between the pointer finger & thumb) at first caused blisters, but as I reshaped the supports, I was able to get that spot from irritating so bad (no blisters now). The biggest problem with this brace is the stitching... see the pics... Now I wear this brace nearly every hour of the day and night. It rarely comes off... the stitching has not held up to the demands of constant wear. Also the velcro straps get really stringy and I have to periodically trim the strings. I cannot use my sewing machine for all spots that the stitching is coming loose at so I am having to hand sew each seam as it releases. Ouch, but ok, the pain relief the brace provides (me) overall is worth keeping it repaired. Yes, I am absolutely ordering a second one this week simply because of the odour this one gets from constant wear... yes I will reinforce all the stitching as I have with the one I currently wear. Yes I will have to tweak the metal supports for comfort, and that's ok to me. The pain relief it provides is worth it. Read more

It's perfect

Kindle CustomerSeptember 6, 2022✓ Verified purchase

This is the best brace I have found for my issue it goes above my thumb for better support of my IP joint while still providing support for my cmc joint as well. It's super comfortable. The only problem I had with it is the straps to secure the brace were a little too long so I just cut them down to where they weren't catching on anything but still provides enough length in case my hand swells. I really recommend this brace to anyone who needs to stabilize their hand, thumb, and wrist. I do also use a little bit of rock tape around my IP joint as well for more stabilization. Read more

Thumb webs beware

JennaFebruary 8, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I needed these for both wrists due to tendonitis / de quervains. They were very comfortable when I first put them on, however after wearing for an hour they dug into my thumb webs so much that my thumbs were throbbing. It was very painful and I was unable to ignore it (and therefore returned them). I didn't have them too tight, as it was not a part of the brace that can be adjusted. They otherwise fit very well and were very comfortable and stabilizing. I am hopeful to find a new set without this problem. Read more

Incredible fit

Read all of tbe reviews prior to purchasing. I have had it for 24 hours and it's literally improved my intense tendonitis pain in my left thumb/wrist after sleeping with it on for 10 hours. I work with computers for my job so I'm looking forward to wearing it 8 hours a day. I did cut off the strap that went around the thumb because it was worthless but having the metal braces on the wrist and thumb relieves so much pain from the get-go. Also I ordered the medium. I also have carpal tunnel in both hands. I have my right thumb under control with compression gloves. Excellent brace over the hideous one my Occupational Therapist wanted me to wear. Read more

Horrible Fit, Do Not Order

Jaclyn ShepherdOctober 21, 2023✓ Verified purchase

I rarely write Amazon reviews but this was required. I actually was confused for probably 10 mins trying to put on this brace. I thought surely I must be doing something wrong because it was so wildly uncomfortable and not fitting. Nope, just a horrible brace. Contorts your wrist in the brace. Almost collapsed the palm. Does not support the wrist at all. Thumb support is fine but overall just totally unusable and candidly a piece of garbage. Sort of offended a company would sell a piece of medical equipment like this that is so clearly incorrect. Read more
