I had a 2013 Altima that was totaled thanks to someone who couldn't bother to wait to make a left. He had the gall to actually try and tell the cops i had my blinker on to turn at the intersection and I must've changed my mind at the last second! Thanks to the many witnesses that stopped and waited for the cops to arrive, they got many multiple acounts of what happened vs what the idiot who hit me stated. I bought this for my truck and installed this while my headliner was out for reupholstering. Installation couldn't have been easier. I started off with the entry level drv 310 variant which although reasonably good I figured after a bit why not go for the top dog version. Physical specs are the same, so a simple swap of the new unit onto existing mount. Image quality is superb, and night time fairly useable. The rear camera if anything is more of a challenge to figure out where the generous excess wire can fit versus the unit itself. With maximum exposure setting, captures just fine through darkest rear tint allowed in Texas. Overall quite pleased, only odd note with me is that I elect to use a large power bank for constant power mode when I feel appropriate versus patching into the factory power lines/fuses. Dash cam is easy to install and has amazing video quality. The app is functional but can be confusing / frustrating to navigate which isn't a huge deal since you probably only need to pull important footage once in a great while. It is much easier to just connect the dash cam via USB to a computer to save footage when need be. Keep in mind in order to use the parking-g-sensor, you will need to either hard wire the dash cam or purchase a battery bank to keep the dash cam rolling while you aren't around. Read more
