Where has this thing been hiding all of my life? It looks like a kitchen tool, but it’s not! Lifting the mattress when changing sheets is not something 99% of the population looks forward to and this will help with that! You put it between the mattress and box spring when you are ready to put the corner of your bottom sheet on. I had to put it in up to almost the handle to get enough leverage, but wow! It was almost like I had someone there to help! It’s also great for tucking in the top sheet and you use it the same way. Just get everything ready and hold the bottom sheet with one hand, insert, lift, and put on that bottom sheet. For the top sheet it’s exactly the same way. This tool will help anyone that’s frail or has a bad back, wrist or hand. Unbelievably simple, and unbelievably helpful. My only criticism is that I would like to see the wood a little smoother. It’s not too rough for cotton sheets or some bamboo, but it might be for linen and I wouldn’t use this for satin or any sheets with a satin or similar texture. I hate it when I jam a finger or a fingernail tucking in the sheets and blankets on the bed! This tool resolves that issue and works so much better than I can do with my hand alone. It is a strong, sturdy wood, about ¼ inch thick, about two inches wide at the end, and about a foot in length, with all but about five inches of that being the paddle part of the tool. The size is great for pushing sheets and blankets between the mattress and the box spring so that they smooth out and stay well tucked in.
