I like beverage bottles with "scouts styled" badge stickers. It reminds me of my childhood, and the whole achievement reward system. Not the "hey I showed up" participation rewards of the post 90's, but actual acknowledgement of accomplishment badge system. It's the mental payoff of knowing you accomplished something, and can point to it and say "I DID THIS!", the same way one can point to a diploma. Well, one of our great-nephews is starting scouts, and I decided to get him this beverage bottle. He's still pre-elementary level, but very intelligent. (He can rattle of "number times by self" higher answers like it's nothing, that take me several moments to calculate mentally.) He's also creative and adventurous. His parents are constantly having to come up with "new things" to keep him entertained, because he gets bored easily. Cue this water bottle. Little great-nephew is definitely reward motivated. He enjoys stickers. He gets excited about "achievements". He loves being active in play. This beverage bottle practically was screaming his name, especially since his dad just got him into scouts. -Lots of little "achievement stickers" of kid-friendly activities, from daily chores like feeding the dog, to outside activities like going to the zoo, and a back up sheet if something happens to the first set. -18oz insulated container, which is a decent amount for a small child. -Bright colors that will catch any child's attention. -Laser etched "placement holders" help with learning pattern recognition. -Backup straw included -VERY sturdy... might need to watch for kids bonking each other with this, as it is pretty durable metal, outside and inside. -Bite piece and straws are thick plastic. -No instructions inside, but the whole kit is pretty intuitive. -From what I can tell, this will be dishwasher safe. -Good seal (tested with some filtered water) -Stickers and the text "I can do it!" are great motivations. I can see my great-nephew being very excited to earn these stickers as quickly as possible. -List price is very reasonable, considering the quality of the bottle and the stickers. I haven't tested the claim of dishwasher safe, that is my perspective from having repeatedly cleaned 2 similar insulated beverage containers with the laser etching (ones for visiting national parks). However, other than not testing the dishwasher aspect, I find this tumbler to be a perfect gift for the adventurous child that is reward motivated. Read more

This is actually pretty decent vacuum double insulated water bottle. My 6 year old daughter had been asking to get a Stanley like her aunt so as far as she's concerned this is her Stanley despite informing her that this is not a Stanley she will hear none of it. The only thing I want a huge fan of are the stickers and I get their purpose but I don't feel that many kids will see getting these stickers is an incentive especially due to the very uninteresting images. So I did keep the theme and intention of those product by getting various packs of vinyl stickers and used a lot of the challenges that came with this set but traded out quite a few that fit our lifestyle better and used stickers from the set I got separately. The stickers j themselves amdo not warrant a 4 stars by itself but that comes from what I feel is a steep price for a water bottle geared towards young kids. I still think this is a high quality water bottle that any kid would enjoy (as far as water bottle are concerned) but I think that for the price you can find a different water bottle + buy more appealing stickers to put on that water bottle. I got this adorable pink achievement water bottle for my daughter, and she loves it because she wants to be "just like mommy!" The color is super cute and girly, and what really sets it apart are the little achievement stickers that come with it. My daughter loves reward systems, so she’s been having a blast earning her stickers and collecting them on her water bottle. The bottle itself is stainless steel and definitely spill-proof, so I don't have to worry about leaks in her backpack or the car. It’s sturdy and holds up really well, which is always a plus. I have not tried to put this in the dishwasher, and I don't think I will, as I would not want to test to see if it is dishwasher safe, especially with the stickers on it. Handwashing works perfectly fine. Overall, I’d say it’s a fantastic value for the money and perfect for any parent looking to keep their kid hydrated and motivated. Definitely recommend it! Well made and so easy to clean. Accessories appreciated! The sticker design my daughter loved and easily managed on her own at 6. She was very proud of her design and being able to do it like the bottle shows. Stickers have lasted through many washes. I wash with dish detergent and white vinegar to ensure the bottle is fresh and clean. Read more
