This appears to be a superior bed frame. Excellent quality overall! Pros: - Excellent machining of the parts - they fit together perfectly. - Nice to include extra screws, etc. in case there's a problem. - Solid assembled construction - it seems extremely sturdy and fully supportive. - Very simple assembly process - the directions are adequate. The use of pictures and "close up views" really helps a lot. - The four mattress side supports are a nice touch - so the mattress won't slide off the frame. - The materials (metal) used in construction are welded very well and coated with a nice, black powder coat for protection and a professional finish. - It took about 30 - 45 minutes to assemble (longer for me because I had to switch some things around a little). Cons: - While the directions are good, they could be a little clearer about putting the padded middle support side facing up to minimize potential noise. They added a smooth sort of padding; it makes sense to have that side next to the cross bars (vs. facing downward). Also, the directions should have clearly mentioned that the header and footer bars should have the screw holes facing inward - I had to disassemble one side to turn it around for everything to bolt up correctly (a minor grievance). - The kit comes with a decent ratchet device to speed up assembly. The problem is that it stripped one of the bolts. It's a nice touch but the Allen (Hex) screws could easily be tightened with the supplied Allen wrench instead (no stripping). - The fact that two of the screws could be stripped is a bummer. Although some of them also used lock washers for a more secure attachment - a nice touch. - The fact alone that this was manufactured in China vs. the US automatically knocks it down at least half a star for me personally. But I guess the price reflected where it came from (excellent price). Still... - The four mattress side supports are made of a semi-flexible (though fairly firm) plastic vs. steel (like everything else). It makes sense why they did this, but even though they are functional, they did come off rather easily when I put the mattress on the frame. I would have liked the ability to screw them securely to the frame. But they do their job when the mattress is on the frame. All things considered, this was exactly what we needed, and it perfectly fits the bill. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Having about 14" of storage space underneath is a plus! Read more
Our old frame was taking up too much room so we decided to try out a platform frame. Reviews for this frame were pretty consistent and it was one of the few that offered 2 day shipping as well so I decided to give it a shot. It was delivered on time in a long slender box that wasn’t too heavy or hard to maneuver. The instructions were easy to follow and you could honestly eyeball it and get it together anyway. Assembly took 30-40 minutes with one person. The pieces that hold the mattress in place are a thicker plastic. I have my mattress and box springs on it because I like the height, but I haven’t had one of the tabs break or shift. The height underneath is perfect for extra storage. Both of my 60lb dogs go under and lay with their toys too lol. I haven’t tried a full size tote but medium sized totes slide under great. The quality of the frame I feel pretty good about. It’s very sturdy, the individual pieces seem quality and fit into place like they should. The rubber on the legs keep the frame in place so it doesn’t gradually slide across the floor which I noticed was an issue in other reviews for similar frames. This one makes no noise which I love after only ever having used wood frames that become noisy fast with too much movement. Big bonus is that it has holes placed on the top rails to add a headboard optionally! I don’t have one attached but it’s good to have the option if I change my mind later on I’d buy this again for my guest room if/when I swap to a full bed to replace the futon. 10/10 buy! Read more
Got it for my daughter at NC State. Easy setup and take down. Fits the mattress perfectly. No noise from squeaks. Solid value for what we paid. It's s solid base with no give so you may need a mattress pad for better comfort. Once assembled, it's stable and not shaky. Good purchase Read more
For a basic, no-frills bed frame, this does the trick. I’ve had this for a year now and while it’s held up fine, it did have me wishing I had something a little more comfortable- maybe a head frame and legs I didn’t constantly stub my toes on. However, it works! I easily put it together alone and it has withstood my many tinder encounters with big men. It passes the squeak test and doesn’t bang the wall. 10/10. I throw a California king sheet on top of my bed to hide the legs and make it a bit more stylish. I think I’ll go for something more cozy next time though. Read more

This frame is decently built (you do have to build it yourself, so I applaud myself for doing a good job), and doesn't suffer from squeaks or swaying. I have been using the frame for a year now and it is still feeling sturdy. The only issues that I have are that the plastic clips that hold the mattress in place are not really secure and fall off nearly every time I change the sheets. They are just tension clips without any additional mounting hardware to keep them on. Not a huge deal, they just clip back on after you fish around under the bed for them. The second issue is that the support legs are pushed out to the corners and sides of the frame, so I have kicked the metal legs countless times with my bare feet. I know this is a design necessary for collapsable shipping, but damn that smarts! Overall, it is a good frame for a guest room, but for everyday use, I would look for something with a recessed leg to spare your piggies. Read more
