These sheets solve a problem with the split king beds. The crack down the middle. We don't have problems falling in the crack ourselves, but items like books, remotes, Jack Russell Terriers, etc. often do. We could buy one of the crack filler devices, but those co to the top and make having a bed with individually adjustable sides pointless. These sheets are split at the top so each person can adjust thier sitting or laying position how they want without the sheet pulling from the corner or rolling pillows to the lower side. Meanwhile the bottom is like a single sheet bridging the gap so your little dog has a hammock and only has to worry about being buried under the bed or tv remote, cell phones. Sheets are shiny looking but soft and do seem to have a cooler feel than regular sheets . Did fine in wash and the blue strip set look cool too. Update: arrived in October by December the hem at top started to unravel , now there’s a foot long hole that my arm goes through in middle of the night. They're nice n soft, but like other split top sheets I've had, where it splits, they immediately ripped. Like day 2 on the bed. This has been an issue with other kinds I've purchased as well. Maybe the material isn't thick enough, I'm not sure but it sucks. Read more
