I purchased the Kismile 300W cold press juicer because I wanted an easy way to make fresh fruit and vegetable juice at home. Fresh juice can be a great way to get more nutrients into your daily routine, and having a reliable juicer makes it much easier to prepare healthy drinks quickly. This machine is designed to slowly extract juice from fruits and vegetables while preserving flavor and nutrients. My favorite feature of this juicer is the massive 5.4-inch chute. I love being able to drop in whole apples (after coring) or handfuls of kale without standing there chopping everything into tiny pieces—it saves a ton of time and effort. It also seems to use more of the fruit and veggies, resulting in more juice and very dry pulp, which is the best sign that you're not wasting produce. The 300W motor doesn't struggle with tougher items like carrots and beets. It’s also surprisingly quiet; I don't feel like I’m waking up the entire neighborhood when I use it. The reverse function works great if you happen to overstuff it with something fibrous like celery, though I’ve found it’s still best to pre-cut extremely stringy things like fresh ginger or pineapple cores to prevent the fibers from wrapping around the gear. While the parts come apart quickly and don't have impossible-to-reach corners, there are two things to watch out for during cleanup. First, the fine mesh strainer needs a good scrub with the included brush every time; don't rely on the dishwasher, or fibers will bake into the holes. Second, make sure to flip open the small silicone pulp plug under the bowl when rinsing. If you miss this, pulp gets trapped inside the chute and is difficult to dig out later. One last thing to keep in mind is the height. At roughly 17.2 inches tall, it technically fits under my 20-inch cabinets for storage, but it isn’t usable in that location. Because the cabinet doors extend down an extra 2 inches, the top of the juicer—and the opening of the chute—is hidden from view when I'm standing at the counter. In order to use the juicer, I have to pull it forward towards the edge of the counter or pick it up and move it to another location. Ideally, it's best to keep it in an open area where you don't have to move it every time you juice. It weighs about 6.3 lbs, so it’s light enough to lift easily, but it has grippy non-slip feet that make sliding it across the counter a bit difficult. Read more
