So... this ended up perfect! I put two coats of polyurethane on it (being sure not to block up the sliding piece- use some sandpaper if needed) and it's great. Without it I was concerned with dust and being able to clean it well. The poly made both of these things super easy! Read more
Nice looking wood. I purchased the light, or unfinished box. Glad I did because it needed to be sanded for a finer finish. I will stain and finish with a clear coat to make it match in my home beautifully and hold up well to wet or dirty hands and be easy to clean.
