I've been struggling for years with those combination fastener heads. The Phillips driver just doesnt work quite right. I heard about a combinaion head driver a few years ago but never found them in any retail stores., even in the Klein electical section! Finally, I found these combo drivers. The driver head combines the Robertson and straight blade for a perfect fit. It's a #1 and #2 set. The #1 is the key one for switches and outlets. You get much more torque and it also beats the plain Robertson #1 which is very hard to find. Read more

The Klein Tools 32378 Combination Tip Screwdriver Set with #1 and #2 Combination Tips were high quality and worked well. There is almost no difference between the two and the smaller #2 tip almost fits into a very slightly smaller #1 screw and will usually work, unless high torque is required. I could not get a small #1 screw to untighten and noticed I was using the #2 driver. I tried the #1 and it fit very snugly and I was able to apply very high torque. These are good quality tools that work very well and apparently are very precisely machined at the tips. A regular screwdriver works, but these are better. Read more
It was not until I was watching a YouTube videos about replacing an electrical outlet that I even realized that is not a philips screw. This tool is made to fit the screws on electrical outlets. And does it work well. There is a positive connection that just "feels right". That old adage that tells us to use the proper tool for the job. Well this is the proper tool for replacing electrical outlets and switches. I think it would be helpful if the Big Box Stores would hang this item next to the electrical items. And Amazon should probably recommend this tool when purchasing outlets and such. Read more
Based on the reviews I didn't want to order these but those I thought would be better were either way more expensive or unavailable. So, with a major DIY under way I took a chance. Mine arrived promptly, were the correct two sizes, and looked to be well machined. The handles proved comfortable and they are a good size for the job they do. I wondered if I would ever need both sizes and yes I did, right off the bat. #2 for most applications and #1 for a leviton dimmer. They still take some concentration else they slip off the screw and I can't speak to longevity but they've made installing receptacles and switches including difficult 3 way switches much easier.
