Klein Tools 5108-24 Deluxe Leather Bag 24-Inch

Boy is this a nice bag! It is exactly 24 inches long and will hold a 24" level but it"s so sturdy that I could fill it up with steel bars and it would still hold up. I appreciate the fine craftsmanship so much that I hand rubbed leather conditioner on it and it really made it pop. Just like a thick leather jacket, it just keeps getting better with age. The straps encircle the entire bag so theres no danger of them tearing away and they will support as much as you can put in the bag. The handle is a double strap so it won't tear. Each strap is riveted 6 times and the bottom has 6 brass feet. When you first get it, you'll notice it's very stiff and a little lighter than the picture, but it starts getting softer and darker in color as it ages. After about two months of abuse, anyone who sees it wants it. The inside is raw leather with a heavy canvas floor. I just can't say enough about it except that because I had Amazon points, I only paid about $80 dollars for it and having used it for a while now I believe it's worth every penny of the full price. It lived up to my (high) expectations regarding quality and construction. The thing is bullet proof. Even in the photos I could tell that you couldn't easily leave it open when using tools from it due to the flap design - that is about the only thing to know. It is a rugged tool bag made from thick leather that will hopefully last me a lifetime. Read more

Does the job of holding all my tools for field work. Rugged to boot, the leather looks to be about 1/8" thick all around. When I have to fly, I use this for my carry-on, as it meets airline carry-on requirements. You could spend twice as much for something from Italy that looks just as good or has zippers, but why bother? It's handsome, rugged and Made in U.S.A.! Read more

This is an excellent quality all leather tool bag with many uses. As a veteran Nursery man, I use it daily to carry tools, supplies and even my lunch. It is even quite weatherproof after a generous application of Red Wing boot oil. Read more

When you pay good money for what you are told is a quality American product, is is too much to ask for someone to care enough to line the rivets up? I certainly never dreamt that I would get a product like this, with the name "Klein" on it. For this to make it past any form of quality assurance program, I will rethink all future tool purchases.
