I do handyman jobs to make a bit of extra money and was in the need of a tool bag that provides more convenient access for my tools. I can fit all of my basic tools in it, with different compartments and several small pockets to keep the tools organized. The shoulder strap makes it convenient when I am working and need ready access to the tools. If I am up a ladder, I will hook the strap onto the ladder, saving me from having to go up and down the ladder so much to retrieve or put away tools. Construction of the bag is quite sturdy. There are some negatives, but this is being a bit nit picky. I do feel that they cheaped out a bit on the shoulder strap snap hooks. They don't swivel at all, so I was constantly untwisting the strap so I could shoulder the bag. Rather annoying. I finally got some swivels at Home Depot to fix that issue. Swivel hooks should be standard. It would have also been nice if there was a hand carry handle, at least offered as an accessory. My wife made me up one, so I can quickly grab the bag and go, without messing with the shoulder strap. Also, I'm not sure that I like the tape strap, as I cannot easily get a roll of teflon tape onto/off of it. The thong style holder would be nicer in that respect. Having a measuring tape holder would be great as well. Overall, it is a good bag and quite handy. With some tweaks it could be even better. Read more

I got the 9 pocket 5240. The strap is not shown but it's literally the nicest shoulder strap on anything I've ever had on anything. I don't know why Klein doesn't show it, I almost passed this pouch up because I thought they were calling the handle a strap. Fully loaded it feels like nothing to carry because it's so well padded and wide. The pocket on the front looks useless, but it's deceptive, I got 2 empty tape cases filled with connectors and wire nuts, a 50 pack of 4" zip ties, and a spare loto tag in with ease. Ironically the only tool I have in there that isn't a great fit is my Klein crimpers. I don't know how but somehow they managed to design the perfect pouch to fit tools perfectly for other companies but not their own. I modified mine a little bit and put on two magnets, the rubber coated ones in the 43 mm from Flutesan. I can walk up to a machine or a panel and slap it right on the side and all my tools are at eye level! No more bending over to reach in my bag, and no more heavy bag digging into my shoulder blade. This is the best tool bag or pouch I have ever owned in my entire life. Read more

I use this as a residential electrician. It's great for my essential tools: linesman, dykes, strippers, needle nose, crimper, sharpie, and a few screwdrivers. It might need to be replaced yearly or so, but for $20 it's a good deal. The weight is a plus, had to go with a minimalist tool belt after the old husky rig started straining my back too much *UPDATE* The pouch is still going and it's been about a year. The main plier compartment has fallen apart a bit so my screwdriver now slides into the linesman compartment, but it's still totally useable Read more

This pouch is what it is, a maintenance small job pouch. I am rating 3 stars for some of design and durability. It has 9 pockets, which is awesome and the nylon pockets/holders is thick but the stitching that separates the pockets is just okay. Lucky for me I am not in the trade because I could see this wearing out quickly or deforming. The backing is a type of plastic I think? It is rigid enough for what I have on it, but it flexes easy. Also not a fan of the stitching on the loop on back, it will allow for 2 inch belt but I have worn twice and so far so good. I use this little pouch for putting up lighting fixtures and building small furniture projects etc, light things. It has come in handy to open my ac unit from out side to clean it out which, I need only a couple of tools to remove and place back those panel. Yes, those are Doyle and Ideal screwdrivers, the Klein heavy duty wire stripper, and journey needle nose. Oh, yeah the tape thong works great, but clasp connected to the ribbon is too big to let my Klein finger ratchet sit there. I suppose I can use a lanyard on the grommet on the upper left, pic 2 has a better view. Anyhow, would I buy this one again, maybe. Now that I have used it a bit I can say Klein tools, worth every cent. All of them well thought out. My substitutes are because my town is small and Ideal has run of the farm and works with the trade schools here. And HF Doyle products are a real choice when big orange and blue aren’t in stock. Hope this helps. Read more
