Have you ever had a day when you couldn’t decide whether to wear boots or loafers? These, my friend, are the solution no one asked for, but I'm here for it. I’m not going to lie, I was a little afraid of these when I ordered them. And when I plucked them from their box, I thought they were horrendous. After trying them on, they grew on me. They aren’t as bad as my first impression. Will they be a go to shoe? Absolutely not. Firstly, the boot runs a half size small. I ordered an 8.5 just in case and I’m glad I did. Secondly, the heel has a seam that is going to cause a blister. I could feel my skin chafing as I walked around, when I tried them on. Third, they are a slip on boot and it is form fitted to my calf. I can wear these with a tight skinny jean, probably, a flare jean (but what would be the point, if you completely cover them up?), or most likely, with a dress or skirt. The mod dress is back, and these are an excellent accessory to that. They give serious late 60s, early 1970s vibes. I’ll put some sort of protective cushion over the seam, and wear these with dresses and tights this winter. Be aware, if you have large calf muscles, these are not the boots for you. Read more
