I purchased the Kolbs wedge pillow primarily to keep upper body elevated at night due to Acid Reflux. First Impressions The pillow arrived well packaged and expanded quickly after opening. The foam feels dense and supportive rather than overly soft, which is important for maintaining the incline. The incline provides enough elevation to keep my upper body supported, which has been helpful for sleeping more comfortably with acid reflux. Comfort & Performance The elevation provides good support without feeling too steep, and it holds its shape through the night. I've found it comfortable for both sleeping and sitting upright in bed. The removable cover is also a nice feature and makes cleaning easy. Pros *Firm, supportive foam *Good incline for sleeping elevated *Removable, soft cover *Holds shape well Cons Like most wedge pillows, it may take a few nights to get used to if you normally sleep flat. Who this is best for Anyone looking to elevate their upper body for reflux, snoring, recovery, or simply more comfortable reading in bed. Overall, it's a well-made wedge pillow that does exactly what it's designed to do. Read more
I purchased the Kolbs Bed Wedge Pillow to help with silent reflux, and it has made a clear difference in how I sleep. I wanted something that could keep stomach acid down at night and help me rest more comfortably. The pillow provides steady, even support. It lifts the upper body at a gentle angle and keeps me in a comfortable position through the night. Since using it, I sleep more easily and wake up with less discomfort. I used to sleep on my side most of the time, but this pillow makes back sleeping feel natural and easy. The surface feels firm enough to hold its shape while still feeling comfortable. When the pillow arrived, it came compressed and looked much smaller than expected. Within about 24 hours, it expanded to its full size and shape. After that, it felt sturdy and well-formed. The size works well on a standard bed and stays in place during the night. This wedge pillow also feels versatile. It supports the back well and creates a stable sleeping position without needing constant adjustment. I find it easy to fall asleep while using it, which matters for nightly use. If you prefer a flat pillow, the shape may feel different at first. For anyone who wants a supportive wedge to improve reflux comfort and back sleeping, this is a solid option. I will continue to use it as part of my regular sleep routine. Read more
This wedge is extremely comfortable and very well designed. The extra-wide width is fantastic — I toss and turn, and I never once felt like I was going to roll off the edge. The foam has a great balance of support and softness, and overall it feels like a high-quality product. That said, I ordered the 12-inch high extra-wide version, and for me personally, the height was just too much. I have a very sensitive neck, and despite how comfortable the wedge itself is, I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep with this level of incline. I also found myself slowly sliding down during the night and had to put a pillow under my hips to stay positioned. I originally purchased this to help with CPAP-related air swallowing issues, but unfortunately the steep incline didn’t work well for my body. If someone has GERD, reflux, or needs a significant elevation and doesn’t have neck sensitivity, I think this would be excellent — the comfort level is absolutely there. For me, it just wasn’t the right fit, but I do want to emphasize that this is a comfort and height issue, not a quality issue. If the incline had worked for my neck, I would have happily kept it. I bought this wedge pillow while recovering from my C-section, and it made a huge difference in my comfort. It helped support my back and made it much easier to sit up and get out of bed without putting too much strain on my incision. Even after recovering, I still use it all the time. It’s great for extra support while resting, reading, or watching TV. The quality is great and it’s held its shape well. I’m really glad I bought it and would definitely recommend it to anyone recovering from surgery. Read more
This review is for the Extra Wide 7.5" Height. Recently had abdominal surgery and was using a motorized recliner chair... but wanted to start sleeping in the bed again. Laying flat was painful and hard to get in/out of that position. I'm 5'9" I initially ordered the Standard Width 7.5" Height, but then realized I wanted the pillow to accommodate from my waist to my head, which is about 32-33"... and the Standard Width would accommodate only 25.15", leading to a bend in my spine. So I used the Extra Wide 7.5" Height which gives me 33.85" of sleeping area (perfect for my back and a nice pillow). It also allows for rolling side to side without falling off the wedge. So I had a PERFECT night's sleep, the best one during my entire recovery time so far. I like how the angle of the extra-wide wedge is more gradual than the standard width. The angle of the Standard Width is 17.35°; and the angle of the Extra Wide is 12.8°. The only negative thing is the exorbitant price. But I'll be using this pillow a lot, especially for my next upcoming surgery. It's very comfortable, and the angle is "just right." Read more
