I have run at least a dozen batches and this machine has worked very well. Customer service was really good about getting me the parts I needed, which was just a simple plastic aesthetic piece. I intend to order two more in the next months. A plastic piece broke off the door assembly and they sent me an entire new door assembly within just a few days. I was able to run a successful batch of frozen product!!! I would say that better instructions would have been much more helpful, but fortunately I have had other machines similar so I know how to clean and operate them properly. the machine makes a good product. the chamber is small compared the HUGE size of the machine for other 2 qts freezers ive had. it does freeze about 2.5 its per batch... the description leads you to believe it freezes over a gallon at a time. That is the chamber size but you can only fill it a little over half way. BUT the description claims that it freezes up to 4 gallons per hour.. NOT TRUE! i waited to review until after we've had several runs through it. it takes about 35-40 min per batch and then you have to let it thaw a little between cycles... so in the endow might average 1 gal per hour. i do like that it has metal paddles where others are plastic and get brittle and break. Spindle is a little hard to put back some times and the door slightly leaks but it has performed. We are going to put it thru the wringer the next few weeks. Fingers crossed. Honest opinion. Great for the price; I make a batch in around 15 minutes, so it makes roughly 2-3 gallons per hour, which isn't bad considering I'm a small business making Caribbean-flavoured Water Ice (Like Italian Ice but with more flavour and real fruit added). The texture is a little creamier than what I got from my smaller Whynter machines; I don't like or dislike that it is just different, but I love that it automatically expels the product. The paddles go too fast for Italian water ice so that's where the creamier texture comes from, lots of air added to the product. I feel if you are making ice cream, the texture would be perfect. It does the job—it is a sound machine that works. I will eventually purchase a bigger, more expensive piece of equipment when my business scales up, but this does the trick for now. Read more
