Koolaburra by UGG Womens Classic Boots Ankle

These are my first pair of UGGs at the age of 57! I'm telecommuting due to COVID-19, and because we tend to keep the house on the chilly side and aren't normally home in the cold house. We're bundling up to stay warm but my feet were like ice. I got these to wear to keep my feet from getting too cold. I got a pair of the moccasin style UGGs, too, for just around the house. All are very well made and I've seen no flaws in the workmanship whatsoever. The fluffy inner sole goes flat quickly, though... I need to see if some sort of plantar fasciitis such inserts or not. If not, I won't be wearing them much. I don't have that problem with the moccasin slippers. NONE OF THIS is the fault of the product... I'm heavy so I figured the fluff would compress quickly and any given shoe may or may not cause pain... I don't know until I walk in them a while. I ordered a size up because I usually need that extra room for boots with fur. I have another pair of Koolaburra boots that I sized up and they fit perfect. These were a little bigger than I thought they would be but I think that if I had ordered my regular size they would be too small. So I am keeping them because this was exactly what I was looking for. There boots are cute and stylish but didnt cost me a small fortune. In addition, these boots are much easier to pull on than another pair I had bought earlier in the season. These Koolaburra boots are nicely made and, yes, they are a snug fit. Size 8 is my normal shoe and slipper size and at first when I had thick socks on the boots were uncomfortably tight; without a heavy sock, the boot fit fine. I do expect them to loosen up around the ankle with time. Loosening the buckle doesn't really give you much more room as it is more decorative than functional for me. Details: Length: 10 5/8" long. Widest part of the foot area: 4 1/4" wide. Circumference around ankle (sewn area) = 13 1/2". Sole is a hard rubber EVA sole that won't mark up your floors and is 7/8" thick at the heel. The suede exterior in chestnut is a rich color and interior is sheepskin (real or faux, I can't really tell). These boots are not really meant for any snowfall over 4" or your boot will be full as the back area where the buckles are have deep slits. All in all, I like these as I am using them for indoor shoes only. I would not buy these if I meant to wear them in sloppy, slushy, sleety, lake-effect snow. Read more

I gave these to my wife as a Christmas gift, and she loves them. If the person wearing them want to wear thicker socks then you should probably purchase a 1/2 to 1 size larger. But if going to wear thinner socks or non at all, then purchase what you would normally wear. As for style and comfort, well like I said, she loves them! Read more

Reviews I got a 10. They aren’t too big and allow for a thick pair of socks, I probably could have fit a 9 too though. I read reviews saying they were hard to get on... not at all for me.
