I want to share my situation for why I bought this in case someone else is on the fence about buying this. Short answer: this is way better than bluetooth for Xbox controllers. If you’re using Bluetooth, stop and buy this. Long answer: I recently setup a living pc for my wife and I to play games. We recently had a baby so my gaming happens primarily in our living right now. I had a usb Bluetooth adapter so we could connect our Xbox controllers and play games. But there was definitely an issue with latency and just inputs in general. Sometimes it would lose connection and just think you’re holding down a button, walking in the same direction or just not registering inputs in general. Upgraded to a PCIe Bluetooth card, still the same issue if not worse. Thought this might be because the antenna placement. Got an antenna that could be extended to the front of the case where it would have clear line of sight with our controllers (we’re only 5 - 10 feet away from the antenna depending on where in the living room we are). This did help and was better than the USB Bluetooth adapter but was still having issues. For instance, if you don’t press a button for awhile and then press something there is a slight delay. For some games this is fine but for games that require precision inputs like rhythm games this can be a run ender. So I started looking into getting the Xbox windows 10 adapter to try and see if that would eliminate the issues I was having. Found this adapter that looked similar and other people said this was way better than Bluetooth so I gave it a shot. Now my problems are 100% solved. I have precise inputs no matter where I am at in my living room. If you are also someone that wants an optimal gaming experience on pc with a xbox controller, get this adapter!! Read more
Odds are you're looking at this because of controller disconnects on pc, if so just buy this. It's worked perfectly for me. Iuse an elite v2 controller for gaming on my pc through bluetooth. Randomly it would just disconnect but the controller would think it was still connected. Which means holding down the xbox button to turn it off, then turning it back on and waiting a few seconds for it to reconnect. This whole process can take 1 to 2 minutes which is a huge pain when playing something you can't pause. Set up was incredibly easy with drivers automatically installed, extremely low latency, and this adapter has a pretty small profile. Read more
I bought this adapter so I could use the headphones I could use my Turtle Beach headphones for both my Xbox and PC. Unfortunately, this adapter has a very spotty connection. Every few seconds the audio will cut out and distort for half a second, just enough to make it very annoying to use. The range is also very low. I can barely walk from my room to the kitchen (less than 10 steps) without losing connection, making it difficult to, say, listen to music while walking about. It unfortunately seems that everyone is either selling this adapter, or one of a similar design to the original xbox wireless adapter, which overall makes everything about this product feel sketchy. Works great, can be a little fidgety sometimes though. Follow the instructions it comes with and you can set it up easy. If it ever starts acting up I just have to unplug and replug again and it works perfect. Read more

Recently bought a PC, I have an Xbox wireless Lucid sound headset that does not connect to the Xbox via USB. And it’s not Bluetooth. I needed this to connect to the PC, and it works flawlessly so far. Connects pretty quick as well. Very happy that this product worked and that I don't have to buy another headset. Read more

This adapter is great so far, it paired no problem with my old Xbox One controller (non-bluetooth) and worked on my Windows 11 PC. On a whim I plugged it into my raspberry pi with Recalbox installed for retro gaming, and I was amazed that this wireless adapter just worked without having to do anything else!!! In my experience so far this works flawlessly with both my PC and Raspberry Pi, so I am super happy...especially for the price! Read more
