as a farmhand in minnesota deep winters i can say these are fantastic boot. always warm even in -20, comfy, the lacing is SO easy and quick i never wanna go back to laces. plus they look nice and even got the cute tufts the replaceable treads are nice touch preventing wearing from season after season. theyve proven to be water proof and have decent hard toe protection. i generally am pretty poor so price was worrying but these are so so worth it i have no regrets. size was true for me, if you wanna size up for thick socks you can but im telling you these are so warm you probably dont have to. if you work outside winter extensively these are must. These are great boots. The warmest and most comfortable boots I have ever owned. My feet rarely get hot and they have been hot a time or two in these boots. Great traction and look nice with dress clothes for work when needed. Read more
The media could not be loaded. First, how do I fix the squeak?! Second, I love the BOA lace up, since my fingers hurt. These boots are pretty warm, but when we hit -5, my toes started to get cold. I still love these boots!! The lace up system is amazing! My sister bought these at my recommendation, and she is off to Alaska next week then Antarctica! Read more
This is a review for both the Polar Vortex and the Snowmageddon.... After reading the reviews of these being narrow, and following Korkers recommendation to size up if you are in-between sizes. I normally wear size 8.5 in all shoes so I ordered size 9. They are big all over, too long, too wide, to big on top of ankle and to big around the ankle. I was really looking forward to experiencing warm feet in the winter. They are the most rugged boot I have seen, almost like a mountaineer boot but with more flexibility. I am returning and going to order a size 8 in the same boot and a size 8.5 in the snowmageddon and keep my fingers crossed. Update.... this is for the size 8 that I just received, the size 9's were returned. I am very disappointed and confused on the sizing. The 8's fit exactly like the 9's maybe even a tad larger but I can not compare now. I will be sending these back as well. The snowmageddon's that I ordered in my true size of 8.5 fit like the size 9 and the size 8. Granted the snowmageddon is an entirely different boot. They both seem like they would be hot-a-licious for my cold feet, not sure if I should try a size 7 in the Polar vortex and a size 8 in the snowmageddon. Either way if I do order, I will update my review. Read more
Cozy and the boa closure makes them very easy to get on and off! Read more
They look great but the top of the boot hits just under the calf which makes them uncomfortable for the price they are. There is no give at all. I was disappointed. Read more
Extremely well made and assembled. Pricey, but still glad I purchased these. Haven’t tried them out in snow and ice yet, but they look competent to take on the frozen tundra and beyond. Read more
Very disappointed. The box was in bad shape, and so were the boots. They were dirty. You could tell they had been worn in the past. Not only that, but they looked very cheaply put together/made. Either this company is wayyy overpriced, or someone tried making a buck off of me. I wouldn't pay $50 for these boots, let alone the $224 they cost me. I returned them right away. Read more
