Kotex Bamboo Ultra Thin Pads with Wings Heavy Absorbency 30 Count Packaging May Vary

I have worn pajamas made from bamboo for over 20 years and used sheets made of bamboo for about 10 so I thought why not try pads made from bamboo? I have found bamboo comfortable and breathable in other products so I was hoping for the same in these new pads. I got these in heavy abosrbency. I usually wear pads meant for heavier days for the first 2 days and then wear smaller lighter pads for the rest of my cycle. These came individually wrapped in a green print wrapper. They are easy to open and easy to remove the sticky back. I mention this because I had bought another brand of pad recently and it was hard to remove the back. I literally was in the bathroom trying for almost 10 minutes to remove the back and I had to ask a family member how to remove it and they had trouble too. I found it was due to a change to have less watse they made no tab to remove the back. I appreciate an easy to open pad, because, who has time to be in the bathroom trying to remove a back to a pad? These heavy pads were what I would call full coverage. They were large enough to cover all areas needed. I would not want anything longer/larger. I only wear cotton underwear because of the benefits of the material. I wanted to see if there was really a difference with these bamboo pads and feeling breathable. I noticed a difference at night the most. The pads did not leak at all for me. They also trapped any odors well. The wrapper was good between the size and the tape to act as a way to dispose of the used pad. As far as price, these were $8.99 for 30 when I got them, I find them a fair price. The price is on par with non sales prices at my local stores. Since I only use these a few days a month, this box would last a few months. I would buy these again if the price was right. As someone who has recently welcomed a baby and is still in the trenches of postpartum, I’ve gone through quite a lot of pads, and quite a few different ones. Pre pregnancy I made the switch to non toxic chlorine free organic pads and tried out different ones, that were good but never as satisfying as the big brand products. So when I saw these Kotex ones made from organic bamboo I was so excited to try them! They come in a big box providing lots of pads for a fair price. Each pad is individually wrapped and easy to open and peel off the plastic wrap. The pad is white and has a clear indication on which end goes in the front and which one in the back. You can see lots of small holes in the pad that provide breathability which is great. The pad is unscented which I love. It fits my underwear very well and is perfectly sticky. I have bad experiences with other brands that were not sticky enough and where the pad kept sliding around or bunching up. But not with these Kotex ones, they actually stay in place very well. They are very thin which makes them super comfortable to wear. The pads feel very soft and lightweight and breathable. They work very well, absorption is great and I haven’t had any leakage so far. I’ve worn them overnight and even over longer periods they have done great. Overall I have to say these are my favorite new pads! Love that they are made from Organic bamboo and have clean ingredients compared to conventional pads but still provide great absorption, feel comfortable and actually stay put!
