I was not expecting this detector to work as well as it does. It charged up quickly and was intuitive / easy to learn the functions. I tried every mode out and was pleasantly surprised. I have a mesh network in my house, and it detected each of the wireless access points. I also have a perimeter camera system, so I tested that out at night and it picked up the infrared quickly and efficiently. I don’t have a pinhole night vision camera to test, but it picked up the outdoor cameras perfectly. For that same reason, I couldn’t really test whether it would pick up a pinhole camera just by using the red light, but I will say that if you’re shining it at an object and you see reflection, this could definitely work. It did work perfectly on the GPS tracking side as well, with my testing involving two Apple AirTags and an off brand GPS tracker. It picked up all three within a couple of feet. I’m not paranoid, but I did want to start bringing something like this with me when I travel. Looking forward to the additional peace of mind having this with me. I’ve had it for a few weeks and I’ve tried it out a good few times and it’s working exactly as expected. The quality in the construction is evident as it feels like a pretty solid piece of hardware. Five stars from me! Read more

there are 4 ways this device tries to detect devices. i tested all 4 around my house with its ring/nest cameras 1. shining a red light hoping for reflections anything shiny will reflect back and other than using a blinking red light that preserves your night vision, you could do this with a flashlight. 2. looking for IR illumination that is typical of night vision cameras. cameras with a night vision mode will typically shine infrared into the scene. this is pretty useful - in the dark there is little/no reason for something to be emitting IR. unfortunately the range of detection was quite limited. at maximum sensitivity, this device detected my camera in NV mode only at 5 ft. so you have to get pretty close. this is disappointing since my camera is able to show a view of about 40 ft in NV mode. this detector will fire at any sun or full spectrum light (direct or reflected), so it's only useful in the dark. 3. wifi signal detection. this might be useful in a more isolated location but in a residential neighborhood, there's simply too much interference. at max sensitivity, it's simply going off all the time. at lowest sensitivity, it still beeps intermittently, and requires you to get extremely close to the wifi emitter - 2 ft or so. it detected my wifi mesh router, and my cameras, only when they were streaming. make sure your phone is off wifi as well 4. magnet detector. this is meant to detect devices that might have been magnetically attached to your car or something. unfortunately i found i had to place the device practically an inch from the magnet before it went off, even for stronger neodymium magnets. also if you are off-axis from the poles, you have to get even closer for the device to trigger. I just wanted something simple to check things out, especially when I'm in new places. It's small enough to just throw in my bag, and it doesn't feel cheap or anything. It was easy to figure out how to use it right away. I just push a few buttons to switch between what I want it to look for. I tried it out in my house, and it seemed to pick up on my Wi-Fi and some of my outdoor cameras, which was cool. It just makes me feel a bit more at ease having it around. I have another similar device under another manufacturer and it works just as similar. Read more

I recently purchased this Hidden Camera Detector and am beyond impressed with its performance! It’s compact, easy to carry, and incredibly intuitive to use. The 4 detection modes (including flashlight, vibration, and beeping alarm) make it versatile enough to scan for spy cameras, GPS trackers, and audio bugs in all kinds of environments — from hotel rooms to cars and even office spaces. The audible alarm mode is especially useful for quick scans, and the flashlight function doubles as a handy tool in dark corners. I’ve already used it during two business trips and found it extremely reassuring to be able to check rooms for hidden devices in just a few minutes. Battery life is great, and it charges quickly via USB. If you travel frequently or just value your privacy, this detector is a must-have! Total peace of mind in your pocket. Read more
