Premium quality, compact and really fast charging It is, without a doubt, the best travel charger I have ever had. What stands out most is its manufacture in aluminum alloy; it feels very solid and of much better quality than plastic ones. Thanks to Qi2 technology, wireless charging is very fast and the magnet holds the iPhone safely. I love that it folds completely, taking up very little space in the backpack, and allows me to charge iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods simultaneously with a single cable. If your use case is travel and you're looking for the most compact 3-in-1 charger you can find, it will be hard to do better than this Ku Xiu model. If your use case is a charger that sits on your desk at home, there are many better options. The Ku Xiu charger seems extremely well made. It's all metal. The hinges offer just the right amount of resistance. The USB-C port holds the cable firmly. The black finish looks great and arrived without any blemishes. Each of the charging surfaces is covered with a soft, smooth material to eliminate any possibility of scratches or scuffs on your devices. This seems like a product that will last. One of my pet peeves with Apple Watch chargers is that the strength of the magnetic grip tends to be minimal compared to that of the iPhone charging pad. It can be easy to knock my watch off of its charging pad if I'm feeling around for my iPhone in the dark. But when it comes to this Ku Xiu, this is not a problem. My Apple Ultra 2 with its Alpine Loop band is held securely in place. It does a better job of this than any of my other chargers. And getting the watch onto the charging pad is fast and easy too. Watch charging gets a 10 out of 10. Phone charging is good too. The charging pad's magnetic grip is strong—strong enough that removing the phone is easiest to do with two hands. On other chargers, I will "bend" the phone up or down to remove it. For this charger, bending the phone down doesn't work well if there are AirPods Pro being charged, though bending it up is still possible. Doing so does require being a little more deliberate as you lift or you'll take the charger with you. The charging itself is very fast. Same with watch charging. I'd give the phone charging 8 out of 10. It's solid but removing the phone is necessarily more difficult than with a true desktop charger. Charging AirPods is the biggest challenge with this unit. My AirPods Pro 3 are in a very thin protective case (1/16" thick). When first I placed them on the charging pad, which lacks a magnet to assist in positioning the AirPods case correctly, I heard a ding to confirm they were charging. But they weren't. They were at 10% when I put them on the charging pad. An hour later, they were at 8%. I repositioned them. I heard another ding. The next morning they were at 3%. Was the charging pad broken? No. I just wasn't positioning them far enough back on the pad. I couldn't without changing the angle at which the charger was unfolded. Once the charger was unfolded far enough my AirPods Pro 3 charged quickly and completely. The ambiguity over whether or not my AirPods were actually charging could have been eliminated if there were a charging LED that I could see to confirm their status. There is a tiny charging LED but unfortunately, it's on the back. You can't see it when the phone is facing you, and there's only one. The charger has no way to warn you if, for example, the phone is charging but the AirPods are not. Three individual LEDs on the front of the unit would have been much more useful. That said, now that I understand what I have to do to charge my AirPods correctly, I don't anticipate further issues. What about value? This charger is on the expensive side. Part of the cost is for the premium materials and construction. I'm happy to pay for that. Part of the cost is for a nice case, a braided USB-C cable, and a 45W one-port charging brick with Power Delivery. I don't need any of that—I suspect most users won't—though those accessories do mean that Ku Xiu includes everything users need to begin charging their devices in the box. I will say that it's annoying that customers have to pay more if they want black. Coupons are often available for other colors but not for black. The bottom line is that there is no free lunch. When compact size is a primary goal, there are going to be compromises like the ones I've mentioned. If compact size isn't important to you then this charger isn't your best choice. It's a little fiddly. But if you're a one bag traveler looking to use every cubic inch in your bag as efficiently as possible, this charger is hard to beat. It's well built. It charges quickly.
