This is heavenly. The fragrance is not overpowering, but it does smell lovely. I use a sponge and this lathers extremely well! You feel clean when you exit the shower, instead of weighed down by heavily perfumed body washes. For the amount you get I do think it’s worth the money since the bottle will last long and you skin will be softer too. Read more

This KUNDAL Santal Rose Body Wash combines the functions of body wash and skin moisturizer. It includes resveratrol, which combats oxidative stress in cells and reduces inflammation. Combining Vitamins C and E synergistically fights free radicals, reverses sun damage, and boosts collagen production. LHA (Lipo-Hydroxy Acid) deep cleans into pores, while PHA (Poly-Hydroxy Acid) exfoliates on the skin surface. These ingredients together are meant to hydrate your skin and keep it healthy. I looked it up and learned the difference between shower gels and body washes. Apparently, shower gels are made of harsher ingredients designed to more effectively remove dirt and grease. They tend to be cheaper, to produce more lather, and to have a stronger smell. Body washes have gentler ingredients meant to moisturize skin--although they are also effective at removing dirt. They usually produce little lather and have much more subtle scents. This product is the archetype of a body wash. It produces very little lather, so I initially wondered if it was really cleaning my skin. But it totally was! And the rose scent is so very subtle that, frankly, I cannot smell it at all! The box lists top, mid, and base notes. If I open the bottle and sniff the body wash in its most concentrated form, I can smell a faint floral scent with a hint of rose. I cannot smell anything in the little dab that goes onto the washcloth. Neither can I smell anything while cleansing myself or afterwards. (Except that my skin smells “clean.”) This body wash does a good job of exfoliation, but not the best I’ve ever seen. I reviewed a similar rose-scented Korean skin care body wash a few months ago. That one used Lactobacillus for exfoliation, which seemed to do a noticeably better job. This one worked quite well, though. Oddly enough, I noticed it especially under my knee caps. All kinds of dead skin that I didn’t know I had came rolling off! My skin was thoroughly cleansed, but it did not come out as soft and smooth as with the Lactobacillus body wash. Rose-scented body wash seems to be priced in two distinct brackets, one cheap and the other expensive. Cheap rose-scented body wash can be had for 32 cents (Olay) to $1.30 per ounce. The most common mass-produced varieties like Olay and Dove cost around 35 cents per ounce. Most brands cost about 40 to 60 cents per ounce. The expensive tier of rose-scented body wash costs $2.37 to $4 per ounce, with most being priced around $3 per ounce. At the list price of $32.00 for 450mL (15.2 oz), this body wash costs $2.11 per ounce, just below the cheapest top tier product. If you want a relatively inexpensive body wash that protects, exfoliates, and hydrates your skin, then this is a great choice! If you are very particular about skin care, more expensive brands that use more effective ingredients may do a better job. If you were hoping this body wash would leave you smelling like roses—or indeed, if you expect any rose scent at all—you will be disappointed. In that case, you will do better to buy a different brand of rose body wash—or buy this brand in one of the stronger scents. Read more

I love testing body wash or other body hydrating products since I love finding ones that don’t irritate my sensitive skin. It also dry out if I don’t moisture straight out of the shower. Having body washes that don’t add to that dryness is always a plus. I chose Linen Water because the title sounded clean and fresh. I don’t care for overly perfumed scents as I wear a signature perfume oil and I don’t want lingering scents from other products to interfere with that. I first tested this as a hand wash, which it was not intended for, but it did provide a good idea of the lather and scent before committing to the entire body. The lather was plentiful and had an overall silky feel. The scent was mild and pleasant. It left me excited to try it in the shower. The “bottle” is really nice. It looks higher end, like glass (but isn’t) It’s ample sized but doesn’t look like you went for the 55 gallon economy version! Looks like something you’d see on the shelf of your high end department stores perfume counter. I only used one pump on a washcloth and it created enough soapy lather to wash my entire body. I loved that and it certainly adds more value for the money. The lather, again, felt silky smooth and glided across my skin. It rinsed well and I felt clean afterwards without any leftover residue. I did moisturize after but I didn’t feel that dry tight feeling as if I HAD to. It’s just a routine I am in and feel regardless of a need, it’s just good for my skin. The scent was noticeable and pleasant but not overly so. Some of these scented body washes are just too much scent, but I didn’t feel that with this one. There was no lasting scent that I noticed, but my sniffer isn’t as strong as some people’s….which is perfect for me, but if you like that longer lasting scent from a body wash, your mileage may vary. As far as value, we will have to see how long this lasts me, which would need to be quite a while to justify the cost. I liked it enough to be intrigued to try other scents and time will tell if it helps my dry, sensitve skin long term. I will give it 5 stars because it was a great experience, and look forward to using it. It will take time to determine how long this bottle will last and long term improvement (or decline) in skin health. Absolutely recommend giving it a try! Read more
