TLDR: Worth the price in spite mild annoyances. My Kurener arrived today. It was ready to go upon opening charged to about 80% (it has a useful digital display to show its battery charge and when it is charging). The weight and general feel of the handle is high quality. The various attachments, while good, have a cheaper feel to them, particularly the gauges for the trimmer. That said, the trimmer and shaver both performed quite well, despite feeling as though they might not. As for the nose hair trimmer, I have not tried that out yet. I'm a bit nervous to try it, but if I ever need one, its nice to have it. The charging cable is USB, and does not come with a wall adapter. So, unless you have a spare, or want to charge it on your computer, you will need to purchase one separately, which is annoying. And to make matters MORE annoying, if you have an old Philips razor cable lying around, it will fit in the razor and its charging base (which is cheaply made, but I like it anyways/prefer having it to not having it), but it won't actually charge anything. You have to use the USB cable they provide. That said, using USB does make charging on the go easier. However, if you're traveling, it does not come with a bag to store it and its various attachments. (Update: The skin care attachment that I believed was missing was JUST found near my computer desk. I have since updated my star rating from 4 to 5.) All in all, you get what you pay for. It's well worth it to me, and I look forward to using this until I'm forced to replace it. Oh! One last thing! I wish the battery life was a bit better. With just trimming my beard, and then shaving it off entirely, the battery went from about 80% to about 58%. So you'll get about 2 or 3 uses out of it on one charge. ALSO: The design of the shaver head is a little tricky to open, and because it is only three small, small, isolated compartments for the blades, it holds MUCH less hair than a more traditional shaver and will require more frequent emptying/cleaning. UPDATE: Unlike other electric razors I have owned, this one has the rotary blades built in, meaning that they cannot be replaced when dulled. The entire razor head would need to be replaced. To make matters worse, Amazon does not sell replacement shaver heads by Kurener, and the SPEED-XL shaver head replacement recommended in the owner's manual also yields inconclusive search results on Amazon. That said, there are reasonably priced shaver heads that MIGHT be compatible. I won't know for sure until I cross that road, though. Read more

It gives a close, smooth shave every time and works great on both light and thick facial hair. He especially likes how comfortable and easy it is to use — no more irritation or pulling! The battery lasts a long time and it’s super convenient for travel. It also feels solid and well-made, which makes it a great value for the price. My husband uses it every day and says it has made his grooming routine so much better. This is everything plus some. I have had electric razors in my life and wasn’t impressed. This has everything I need to take care of my tender face. Won’t use razors anymore due to making my face raw. It doesn’t matter what I use with the razor, they all tear my face up. This has a scrub brush nose hair trimmer on top of 4 sizes length for beard and mustache. Stand is okay and it’s nice but wish it had a place for everything it came with. Read the instructions, you clean the razor head with hot water. I did some reading and research and was happy with this one. I recommend it for anyone that doesn’t like blades on the face. Read more
The Kurener rotary shaver is one of those budget grooming gadgets that promises clean lines and smooth skin but delivers more of a “mild irritation simulator with optional regret mode.” It’s waterproof, rechargeable, and shaped like every other rotary shaver that’s ever tried to convince you that three spinning circles are the pinnacle of shaving science. Unfortunately, the cutting heads feel like they missed their final exam in sharpness—usable, yes, but you’re going to make several passes, and at least one of them will involve muttering under your breath as the shaver politely refuses to deal with any hair that isn’t already halfway to giving up. In everyday use, the Kurener behaves like a device that wants to be helpful but isn’t actually equipped for the job. Light stubble? Sure, it’ll tackle that—eventually. Anything heavier than “I shaved yesterday” turns into a slow negotiation where the shaver does its best while your patience steadily degrades. It doesn’t tug so much as it consults the hairs about leaving, which somehow feels worse. The waterproofing is nice, the battery life is fine, and the ergonomics are perfectly average, but the real limitation is the cutting surface. It just isn’t sharp enough to earn first-chair in your grooming orchestra. To its credit, it’s not a nightmare—just a deeply mediocre tool that works best as a travel backup, gym bag extra, or “I forgot my real shaver at home and this will probably prevent me from looking feral” device. It’s inexpensive and it behaves like it: functional enough to keep you presentable, but absolutely not the kind of product you buy if you value efficient, confident shaving.
