I found this mat to be just right. It's nice and thick and covers the edge of a rug I have to back over to push my seat back so it doesn't get stuck. Plus it covers the grooves between the tiles as well so those don't annoy me anymore either. It seems to be pretty durable and smooth and it stays in place and I back up and get up all the time. I measured the area before I purchased it and it fit perfectly. I've had it for a couple weeks and it seems fine. Recommended. Read more
This is great. I love the thickness and quality. No dents from the weight of the chair and with me sitting on it. Chair moves very smoothly. The reason for the 4 stars is the description stated was good for both hardwood floors and carpet. I should have know carpet needs tbe little prongs. It does move on me a bit and I have to straighten it out a couple times a day. I will be ordering the one with prongs. I found another way to use this one. Read more
I cannot say enough about this item. For a fraction of the cost of a glass mat, this is amazing. It is thick, has held up wonderfully and looks great. It came packaged flat and was a breeze to put down. I gave this one to my mother as an early birthday gift, but I'm going to get one for myself as well. Read more
Heavy to lift. I’d keep box if planning to move…Works wonderfully on carpet. Office chair rolls over it well. No flex, no sense of fragility. I’d recommend large size to have good chair mobility. Cost is probably reasonable given function compared to plastic. Read more
These mats are a noticeable improvement over the vinyl mats I have used the last four years. There is no more sagging at the points where my office chair normally sits. The den chairs move smoothly over the mat. The mats do slide a little bit (they are on a rug), but repositioning only takes 10 seconds once a week. For the individuals who mentioned how hard it was to get the protective plastic off: I set the mats out for three days and the plastic film started to curl up along the edges. I then pulled off the plastic slowly, using both hands and pulling evenly. It took 3 minutes to get the film off. Read more
So far it works great. My son says it works well. It's very heavy duty and a thick piece of sturdy plastic, but it sits over the carpet well. It's much more durable than the standard chair mats that will not last as long. I'm hopeful that this one will last for years. And I had no issues with removing the plastic sheet from either side of the mat. It was super easy and took me 2-3 minutes total. You just start at one end and go all the way around the edges and pull it inward. It was not difficult. Read more
