Sooooo much more comfortable than The Duke! I bought my true size and it's perfect for me. These are designed to be much more comfortable than their other version, the Duke- still nice, but these are better and prolly forever slippers. New lifelong customer here. Read more

These run small by about a size. They are great if you have wide feet, I ordered a 13eee and i normally wear 12eee in regular shoes. they fit like a glove. The leather is soft and supple and my feet felt good right away. The cushioning is just right, not overdone. I love wearing these around the house, I would wear them all the time but the soles are soft leather and would quickly detereorate with outside use. Although these are made in china, they are very well put together and the material is top class leather all around. I must admit I feel special wearing these, they are worth far more than what i paid. I've read many other reviews and I would suggest if you don't like them send them back, but by all means give them a try. They are truely a life changer, and I would recommend them to anyone who values quality, comfort, and classic style. There is a reasons the aristocratic class adopted this fashion, and thank goodness its available for us through Amazon. Read more

I wear a men's 9.5 regular (D) width. The description of the material and design is accurate. That size was too narrow and too short for my foot. So, I ordered a half size up, in length and width. They fit good now, but read further. Most reviews said they ran small or true to size. I suggest you find a place to have both feet measured correctly. These type of footwear called scuffs fit differently than regular shoes. They do not have lots of support in any area. They were not meant to. They are a casual footwear. I use mine indoors only. They are especially good for walking on a cold floor in the winter. There are only two sizes, regular or the wide. But the wide in these actually skips the men's E and EE, and goes straight to very wide EEE. Btw, there was no C, or B width available for narrow feet. Buying footwear by mail order can be difficult because the manufacturers' sizing is not standardized, and no two feet are the same. Obviously, these are open at the back (easy to slip into). Push your foot toward to the front for a correct fit. Dont push your foot to the back heel edge, its not how you want to wear them, so, keep that in mind. As for the quality of build, they are made every bit as good as the much more pricey brands. Amazon had a special so that helped on pricing. Bloomingdales was selling them for $75 and with tax it was just too much at $80. New ones can be purchased from high $40 plus to $50 plus. Sometimes there are even better deals on eBay, but not all the sizes are available and returns may be more difficult. And I doubt eBay has authorized dealers. I try to limit my eBay purchases -- just too much dishonesty going on there. So, Amazon was the best choice. One more thing, DO NOT wear these outside, it will damage them quickly. I purchased a very nice leather pair of these type slippers in the Cole-Hann brand years ago and made the mistake of wearing them to take out the garbage at night. The cement tears them up, like raking a low grit # sandpaper over them. Don't do it. They will not last. When the bottom finally wears out and the upper is still in good shape, have a cobbler glue some rubber on the bottom, it will greatly extend their life span. EDIT 2019: Initially they felt perfect but now two yrs later they feel too big, not snug enough. Wearing them barefoot they are too loose, but I am still able to walk in them without much problem. Now they work better with a sock on my foot. If I had it to do over I would have stayed with my size and let them stretch out a bit, because I prefer to wear them barefoot. These slippers are all leather, and there is no support other than the leather, no plastic or stiff material to help keep them from stretching. You can grab these slippers and bend or twist them easily. So, being solid leather they will stretch out. The upper leather is holding up very well. Overall they are comfortable. The bottom sole ( also solid leather ), is getting a bit frayed, but that is only the result of walking in them for two years. Eventually I will probably have to have some kind of sole put on them by a shoe repair shop. I allowed my previous Cole-Hann slippers to get too frayed and then it was too late to repair them easily. ADD THIS: it's now May 2021, the soles have frayed spots in the front and back edges. I will most likely purchase a sole for them to extend their life span. It's only due to their being soft leather on the bottom. You get the comfort but sacrifice longevity. If I get anything like this again, regardless of the brand I will probably put soles on them before using them. Hopefully that will make them last longer. Btw, the rest of the slipper has held up ok, but once the fraying starts you have to do a repair quickly, otherwise they won't last as long. Read more

What a shoe for lounging indoors! Great fit, high-end design, top quality at a good price. And wearing them does not confuse those around you that you're wearing a puppy on each foot -- they're trim and slim instead of the frequent cartoon-looking slippers. I've wanted a pair of Evans slippers because my Dad wore them all his adult life and because my favorite uncle was an Evans man both in surname and slipper choice. And now I see and feel why they chose these slippers over and over. A word of caution: I ordered a half-size larger than I usually buy -- for extra comfort. They arrived and I tried on one of the slippers. My foot slid only about half way into the shoe. Terribly disappointed, I set them aside to return them later to amazon. Today, a week later, I started to wrap them for return only to discover I'd left the shipping stuffing in the slipper. The good laugh was worth it. Read more

This is the only company that I know of that carries the type of slipper that my husband enjoys. Good quality and good fit. I love the fact that I can go on Amazon and if it's out there I can get it for a good price and the free shipping with Amazon Prime is definitely a plus. There is a flaw with the site in that after I selected the size and color I wanted, I switched to the description tab and back to the purchase tab and the size changed to the smaller size. I didn't notice and the wrong size was sent. It was inconvenient but Amazon had a free return policy on this product and I reordered the right size and received it in a few days. It was an anniversary gift and spoiled the surprise, but oh well, it could have been worst. Read more

They are well-designed and are made by artisans (I think). They're the most comfortable slippers I've owned. I'd have liked them to last longer, but thin, leather soles do wear out if the slippers are used for anything other than walking indoors. I wore through a pair of these, along with the less expensive "Duke" version, and neither is made for a gravel drive or stone or concrete walkways. After all, they are slippers. This is my third or fourth purchase of L. B. Evans Aristocrat or Duke slippers. I plan to stick to these as needed in the future. Read more
