I purchased these bulbs over a month ago, but waited to review them because of some very bad experiences I've had with recent versions of incandescent appliance bulbs — especially ones made by GE. Not only did such bulbs that I bought burn out within a few days, but several of them failed after just ONE day — yes, literally after only one day!! Finally, I decided to try an LED appliance bulb, but held off on reviewing it for at least a month to ensure that it would last at least that long. Well, I'm happy to report that this one made by LOHAS has so far passed that test with flying colors, and I have high hopes that it will continue to work going forward. Not only has it held up, but it's also quite a bit brighter than the old incandescents, which actually takes a little getting used to at first, but I've now become accustomed to it and appreciate the enhanced illumination — .and, of course, the fact that it still works after more than a month! Good bright bulbs that are certainly a better replacement than a standard incandescent bulb. Cooler, more energy efficient and hopefully will last as long as the refrigerator. Designed (as it says on the box) to work well in the cold, sometimes damp environment of a refrigerator. I can't speak to the longevity yet, but I like the bright white light. No flicker or other artifacts that can sometimes come from cheaper LED bulbs. Read more

The lights in my fridge just burned out after 11 years of use! They came with the fridge. I decided to replace them with some LED bulbs. I searched for bulbs that are specifically for the fridge and that are waterproof. These looked like they would work. I hesitated when I saw the price. They are so expensive for just 2 bulbs. I decided that, if they last as long as my original bulbs did, then the price would be worth it. They look like they are quality bulbs and they give off a very bright light, enough to be able to see everything in my fridge clearly. Read more

LED bulbs are perfect in your refrigerator as they produce very little heat. Sure, it's a minor thing, but still. And LEDs love the cold, as much as CFLs do not. These do really light the interior up nice and bright; and the daylight color temp. is good for seeing the colors in your fridge clearly... can be important :-). A couple of tips: count the number of bulbs in your refrigerator before placing your order. I assumed two, and it turned out there are five. Also, plan to work quickly in removing your old incandescent bulbs... they get hot enough to hurt your fingers pretty fast. Read more

These bulbs are quite bright. The "frozen" look of the 5000k color is fine for the refrigerator. My fridge requires 2 bulbs, I replaced both at the same time with this 2-pack. One bulb lasted almost 2 years. The second bulb failed after 3.5 years. The original MFG bulbs lasted 8 years...I have no idea of the actual vendor for those. Read more

We hadn't realized how Warm-colored the incandescent refrigerator bulbs were until I replaced them with these. These are clearly indicated as 5000K, which is quite "cold". We quickly accepted the change and wouldn't fault these in that regard. Milady feels they are on the edge of too bright; I don't share that opinion, but would recommend vampires look elsewhere. A minor note... I first tried testing the bulbs in a standard lamp socket, but couldn't: the neck on these is slightly shorter than a standard bulb and they didn't seat deeply enough in the socket I tried. They fit fine in the refrigerator, suggesting appliance sockets and their lights may be shorter to save space. Anyway, no complaints. Read more

This is a great light bulb. I will say it is not as bright as my old one BUT my husband and I have found that we actually like it BETTER. Now this is coming from someone who doesn’t have very good eye sight (my glasses are thick!). I can still see everything just fine and I’m not blinded by the light every time I want a midnight snack without the kids knowing. Read more
