I ordered this 2‑pack of LOHAS LED string lights last minute for our weekend Boy Scouts camping trip, and they were a huge hit. Everyone was really impressed with how bright and cool they looked. The 8 lighting modes add a fun touch — from steady glow to dynamic patterns — and the kids loved switching between them. Each string is long enough at 32.8 ft to wrap around a tent or hang across a campsite, and the waterproof design handled the outdoors with no issues. Setup was quick, and the lights stayed bright the entire night and with at least more than half of the battery left for the next night. Battery life of the string lights holds up charge and storage pretty good. One of the boy's even used it to charge his smart phone. These are great lights. They wind out easy and wind back in easy. The lights didn’t catch on anything on the way in or out. I hung 2 of them on trees while camping and they put off a lot of light! I planned on leaving them on all night but I didn’t want all that light keeping me awake so I turned them off. The hooks worked well attaching them to tree branches. They’re easy to set up and take down, and they add just enough light to give your campsite a nice warm feel. Photos were taken with a 3 second time lapse to get as much light as possible. Read more

The battery life has been great so far, I haven't tested it out by leaving it on overnight yet. I'm a big fan of the extra bright light on the bottom too. My biggest gripes: 1 - the power switch It's on the bottom of the puck, and therefore can't be reached when magnetized to a surface. It also means that it rotates around with the reel so it's never in a consistent location. It's also the same color as the plastic on the puck which makes it real hard to find in the dark. 2 - the color LEDs are beautiful but there's not an option for them to be static. They're either flashing with the white lights, or slowly pulsating (which wouldn't be terrible if they didn't pulse all the way off, or if the pulsating was staggered. Still a great option for the price and I'ma keep using em, but please take my feedback for the next version of these lights. - Make the power button a bright orange and/or on the top surface of the light. - Give us a solid rgb mode - While you're at it, a slow pulsating warm white would be cool too.
