Desk was the perfect size. Fits a laptop, books and notebooks with plenty of room. I think a monitor would be too much since the depth would make it crowded, but with a laptop there is enough room to be able to have a book or notebook to comfortably take notes. Was super easy to put together and is very sturdy. The height is good to have a chair without your knees hitting the bottom of the table. This desk was pretty cheap but it get the job done. I needed it for my son who is homeschooled. The pocket on the side my son loves. Its spacey. He has enough room for his laptop, books and snacks so he is happy! It's come exactly as pictured and very easy to put together. I'll update after we see hold long it holds up. I needed an additional desk to fill a small corner in the dining area of my 1 bedroom apartment. The shelf the monitors are on in the photo, was a separate purchase and was not included. I got lucky with how well the match each other. Assembly was pretty easy. Like most "assembly required" items, the instructions were vague. There isn't much to the desk however so this isn't really an issue. The long black screws hold the frame together. The long silver screws bolt the top to the frame, and the short black screws attach the metal brace to the back.
